Up until recently, singer Harry Styles' "Pleasing" brand has been about providing apparel, fragrance, beauty, and nail care. Styles developed a gender-neutral brand, inspired by nail art manicures he enjoys regularly back in 2021, and has expanded into different wellness categories.
However recently, Styles debuted his new sexual wellness line under the Pleasing brand called "Pleasing Yourself."
The Pleasing Yourself launch begins with two products: the Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator and the Pleasing Lube.
Pleasing partnered with Detroit-based sex entertainer, educator, artist, and journalist Zoë Ligon for the vibrator. As she stated in a press release, "Partnering with Pleasing felt like such a natural fit. Their commitment to inclusivity, thoughtful design, and sharing joy aligns so deeply with everything I believe in."
Ligon explains that with Pleasing believing beyond the bounds of the binary human experience, the products they help create are as visually appealing as they are practical. She feels "it's an honor to help shape their expansion into the world of sexual wellness."
Partnership with Planned Parenthood Federation of America
With the launch of their sex-positive line, Pleasing announced a collaboration with Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). According to press releases, Styles' brand is embarking on a "broad effort to educate the public about sexual health and wellness."
They hope to achieve this through their partnership with PPFA, ensuring that the Pleasing Yourself products and accompanying videos promote clear and accurate information "to educate and empower viewers to make informed, confident choices about their sexual health."
Celebrities in Sexual Wellness
Harry Styles is not the first celebrity to align himself with sex-positive and sexual wellness products. Indian superstar Ranveer Singh endorsed Durex in 2014. Christina Aguilera was the co-founder and chief wellness advisor of personal lubricant retailer Playground. And notably, there were the much-publicized vagina-scented candles from Goop, a brand developed by actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
What more will come from Harry Styles' Pleasing to keep us interested remains to be seen, but for now, it will surely have everyone talking.
