Talking To Elaina St James “America’s Favorite Cougar”

In the bio I read about you, you note a viral story that made you seek out OnlyFans and start your content creation. Can you tell us a little bit about that story that was so specifically inspirational?

The story was about a Mom who was making over $100,000 a month on OnlyFans. I had never heard of this platform—it sounded like it was probably a scam, but something told me I needed to find out if it was for real. If I could do these sexy pics and earn even a tenth of that kind of money from the safety of my home, it would be life-changing for me. Other than some glamor and promotional modeling, I had never done anything like this. I am not and have ever been in the lifestyle or anything wild. I was always a relationship girl.

What skills, if any, have you brought from your mainstream job as a National Sales Manager into creating adult content?

I am driven to succeed, to problem-solve ways around obstacles. I look at every aspect from a ROI (return on investment, which includes my time)—this is a business for me. This has never been a hobby. I research everything I do and then analyze the performance.

Have you heard from anyone from your old job, or that world in general who have seen you on OnlyFans?

No. Who I was then and who I am now in my private life is compartmentalized from Elaina St James. Like an actress playing a role, I created a brand, she has elements of me and who I was but it’s just a very different world.

Is there any specific kind of content within the MILF genre that you like to produce more than others?

I like content where I am more assertive, more dominant but my fan base doesn't. I also like more of the fantasy characters and costumes, but again, that's not what the fans like, so I make the age-gap, StepMom type of content. It's what sells.

Do you have any hard no’s when it comes to what you will film?

Anything against the Terms of Service or things that are generally considered obscene or gross. I am not competing in the slut Olympics. I'll let the others do that. I won't be purposely mean or verbally abusive even if a fan says they are into it. Just goes against my nature.

So, what was Elvis like live?

The best. Incredible. The King. I'll never forget it. The memory of hearing the theme song and having him come on stage even in the farthest cheapest seats (so far up that we needed binoculars to really see him) was nothing short of electric. It was only 10 months before he died but he had more charisma than any other performer I have ever seen If he was alive now at 90, he would still be the sexiest guy in any room— that kind of presence, that's forever.

Whether you think about this consciously or not, but your story more than most truly rings as an inspiration to anyone who’s ever dreamed of starting over, owning their life on their own terms. What is your advice to anyone, for any reason and in any business, sitting on the fence of wanting to reach for those kind of goals, but still held back by convention, salary, etc.?

It's actually one of the parts of my life that I love. I know it inspires people because I have heard from so many women AND men who tell me. Our society is so ageist that we are conditioned to believe if you haven't "made it" by 40, your life is over. My own mother used to tell me that a woman becomes invisible to men after 40. I really thought I had but I had a smidgen of hope. In January 2021 I was scared, so scared that I would never be able to provide for my son properly to give him financial security, scared that I would be working until I physically couldn't but mostly scared that I would be a financial burden on him. I asked God/The Universe to give me a big idea, something I could make into a business and a little over a month later I saw that online article and felt a jolt of electricity. I knew this might be it. I tell people to be open, to be ready for the opportunity to present itself, to acknowledge that jolt that says "this! look into this!" and then do your research, but then do something, test it out and see if you are on the right path. I was still working at my desk job when I started— I didn't show my face at first, but within the first month I had 10,000 followers on Instagram and had almost made my monthly wages on OnlyFans. I had the feeling I was on the right path.

That's the kind of confirmation you need, some positive sign. But don't quit your day job without testing things out first. Look before you leap, do your research, but maybe your best days are in front of you, maybe that opportunity will present itself at 45 or 57 or 65, just be ready when it does.

Can you describe what sitting for a Fleshlight is like?

It's a little different than the old school way the Fleshlight's had to be made. At least with the Pro Series, which is for independent content creators like me, it's done with very precise digital photos and videos. I'm sure it would have been easier to have someone do it for me but like 95% of what I do professionally, I did it myself then I uploaded it to Fleshlight along with a bunch of information and they took it from there.

What’s happening for you in the near future?

This summer I've traveled a lot mostly to make social media content, which is how we market our fan sites. My fans/followers have been enjoying the variety of backgrounds as I have toured Denmark, Sequoia National Park, Memphis Tennessee, the mountains in northern North Carolina and Charleson SC, just this summer. I have been trying to connect with more content creators over the age of 50. I don't really fit with MILFs that are in their 30's and 40's but have found it's very hard to find women my age with a similar media status; I actually asked ChatGPT and Grok on X and they both told me I'm pretty much a unicorn, the only creators they or I either know already were older, mostly retired adult actresses. There are so many cute 20-somethings and curvy 30-40-year- old MILFs, it would be nice to create my own little Mature MILF tribe but so far the ones I've contacted say they don't like groups of women, so it might not happen.
