Tami Rose has always embraced change, challenges and creativity. The Navy Veteran, owner of the adult novelty store (both a brick-and-mortar location in the Jackson, Mississippi area and online) Romantic Adventures is presently expanding her voice and business with a book about to be released about the behind-the-scenes of the adult novelty game and has just launching a new blog Substack: Tami
Tami is also refining her e-commerce strategy, transitioning her dropshipping fulfillment to Williams Trading, a company, she says, that has shown enthusiastic support, including plans to distribute her upcoming book
(once completed) and her huge selection of pleasure products, unique bath & body items, sexy costumes, lingerie, bondage/BDSM items and more. As she says, talking about the ease and speed that Williams Trading will bring to her distribution: “My customers deserve joy now, not two weeks
from now.”
First, let’s talk about your upcoming book… what’s it about?
I'm so excited to talk about this book! Publishing it has been a surprising and soul-deep journey. It’s a visual, interactive self-help journal that guides readers through the chakra system, helping them unlock their potential, release stored shame, and reclaim pleasure in their bodies. It draws on the healing modalities I practiced as a massage therapist and Reiki master—and yes, it even includes a recommended adult toy for each chakra, designed to support energy release and personal transformation.
Living and working in the South, I meet so many people carrying early trauma and shame around sexuality. I wish I could wave a wand and heal everyone—but hey, I do have an unlimited supply of Magic Wands! This book is my way of reaching people who may never walk into my store but still deserve full access to joy and pleasure in their lives.
What will you be tackling on your new Tami Rose Said It Substack?
@TamiRoseSaidIt is where I bring my special blend of predictive analytics, lived-in wisdom, and what I like to call Southern Gothic storytelling. It’s a bit of my personal mythology and a lot of character sketches from the world around me. Back in the day, my grandmother was the island midwife and the first registered nurse in Hawaii. She read tea leaves and always knew if a baby would be a boy or a girl. I may not have her exact gift, but I see patterns too—and Substack is where I write them down. It's a space where readers and I can watch the world unfold together and test whether my insights hold water. It’s also become my creative laboratory. Substack allows me to demonstrate to editors that there is already an audience for this kind of thoughtful, soulful tech commentary.
What does dropshipping with Williams Trading give you now that you didn’t have before?
Williams Trading has been a fantastic partner—they’re family-owned, based in Philadelphia, and near the ports. That means they often have the latest toy designs before anyone else and can get them to my customers quicker than West Coast suppliers, who are often delayed by weather or shipping backlogs. In this industry, fast shipping and reliable supply chains are everything.
Dropshipping through Williams helps me meet that promise, and with fewer hiccups and returns.
In your near-decade with Romantic Adventures, what are the biggest changes you’ve seen in the adult novelty business—both good and bad?
The best change: Women are finally in the driver’s seat.
When I first started, women in the industry were often treated like commodities, needing an agent or studio to validate their careers. Now, a woman with a smartphone and Wi-Fi can build her own brand, choose her collaborators, and connect directly with fans. That’s power. That’s agency. That’s progress.
The downside?
We’re seeing creeping censorship dressed up as “compliance.” Financial platforms and tech companies have found clever ways to de-platform adult creators and businesses—often without warning or recourse. It’s shadowbanning with a corporate smile. America should be better than that.
Beyond Substack and running Romantic Adventures, what else is coming up for you?
I'm deeply enjoying this writing chapter—exploring thought leadership and
taking up space in media where people like me usually aren't invited. I’ve got
more longform essays in the pipeline, and I’m dreaming up workshops, courses,
and even retreats that blend personal growth, sexual wellness, and
entrepreneurial spirit.
Let’s just say… the best adventures are still ahead.
