Celebrating your sixth anniversary as you are, how has Tantaly survived in the face of a market seemingly overrun with sex toys?

and a well-loved brand. After six years of dedication, we’re proud to have earned the recognition of most of our customers — and we’re still working hard to improve every day.

At the same time, we’re excited to see more brands entering the torso sex doll category. Healthy competition is driving the industry forward and helping bring more joy to customers — and that’s what truly makes us happy.

Presently, do you feel the restrictions of tariffs; are you anticipating any? And if so, how do you best battle them?

To cope with the impact of tariffs, we’ve been working hard to optimize our supply chain and are even absorbing part of the cost ourselves by reducing our profit margins. At the same time, we’re actively engaging with our fans, listening to their suggestions on how to deal with tariffs, and facing this challenge together.

What do you think is the objective difference for someone buying one of your fantastically lifelike torso products as opposed to someone buying a sex doll?

Masturbators are affordable, easy to clean, and convenient to store — these are their main advantages. However, compared to full-body sex dolls, they can feel somewhat underwhelming and less realistic.

Full-body dolls’ biggest selling point is their lifelike appearance and even their attribute of providing emotional companionship. On the downside, they tend to be expensive and require significant effort to clean, store, and maintain.

What's on the drawing board for Tanatly’s future…at least, that which you can share with us.

Tantaly will continue to stay committed to fulfilling our mission—innovating through R&D and designing highly realistic sex doll torsos, offering customers meaningful emotional companionship and a joyful way to deepen intimate connections. At the same time, our research direction is to increase the playability of torso sex dolls while ensuring a realistic experience.

Looking ahead, we are also exploring the integration of AI and VR technologies into our products.

What do you think are the main misconceptions about sex toys from those who criticize them?

First of all, we respect and understand those who are critical of sex toys. Like any product or service, they have both positive and negative aspects. There are also many people who misunderstand torso dolls, seeing them as something strange or disturbing simply because they don’t have a head or limbs. But nowadays, we don’t feel as much fear toward male masturbators or dildos designed for women. I believe this shift is largely due to their long-standing presence in the market. After more than two decades of visibility and usage, people around the world have come to recognize that these items are just tools that help enhance our quality of life.

If we look back thirty years, the sight of a dildo might have provoked fear or discomfort, mainly because it was seen as a direct representation of a male body part — something that felt taboo or even shocking at the time. The more we educate and communicate, the more people will understand the value and purpose of these products.
