What Happens When You Hit Your ToyChats Task Limit? (Active Task Slots Explained)

Published Dec 18, 2025

ToyChats uses an active task limit to keep the Review Task Center fair and manageable. Your task limit is the maximum number of tasks you can hold at the same time while they are still in progress (claimed but not completed).

What it means when you hit the limit

If you have reached your task limit and all of your claimed tasks are unfinished, you will temporarily be unable to apply for new tasks. In other words, you’ll see that you can’t claim another toy review task until you free up a slot.

This rule prevents creators from claiming too many tasks at once and ensures that:

  • Toys go to creators who can actually complete them

  • The system stays fair for other eligible creators

  • ToyChats can fulfill shipping and inventory in a predictable way

How to unlock a new task slot

To reopen a slot, you need to complete at least one active task:

  1. Finish your review based on the task requirements

  2. Publish the review on ToyChats

  3. Get the review approved by the editors

  4. Submit the task completion inside the Task Center

  5. Wait for ToyChats to confirm the submission

Once the task is confirmed as completed, one slot becomes available again, and you can claim another task.

What “unfinished” usually includes

A task is typically considered unfinished if it is still in one of these stages:

  • You claimed it, but haven’t published the review yet

  • You published it, but it’s still under editorial review

  • Your submission was rejected because it didn’t match task requirements

  • You haven’t submitted the completion back in the Task Center after approval

Tips to manage multiple tasks smoothly

If you want to claim more tasks over time, the best approach is to keep your active tasks moving:

  • Avoid claiming tasks you can’t start soon

  • Pay attention to Submission Due dates (missing them may affect your internal reviewer level)

  • Submit your completion promptly after your review is approved

  • Focus on quality, because higher-performing creators may receive higher task limits
