I can’t upload images or videos — what should I do?

Troubleshooting: Unable to Upload Images or Videos

If you're having trouble uploading images or videos to ToyChats, follow these troubleshooting steps. Try uploading your media after each step, once it works, you're all set!

Step 2: Check Your File Format

Confirm that your file is in a compatible format. We support the following:

Images:

  • JPG/JPEG

  • PNG

  • WEBP

  • AVIF

Videos:

  • MP4

If your file is in a different format, you'll need to convert it using a free online converter or image editing software.

Step 3: Clear Your Browser Cache

Cached data can sometimes interfere with site functions. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try uploading again. Here's how to clear cache in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data

  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data

  • Safari: Settings → Clear History and Website Data

Step 4: Log Out and Log Back In

Sign out of your ToyChats account completely, close the browser tab, then open a fresh tab and log back in. This refreshes your session and can resolve authentication issues.

Step 5: Restart Your Device

If the issue persists, restart your computer or mobile device. This clears temporary system files and resets network connections that might be causing the problem.
