My verdict

Fun, affordable, sexy, and beginner-friendly. I absolutely recommend this set. It might not be the first choice for extended wear, but they are comfortable and easy to care for. A solid choice for beginners and anal veterans alike!

Pros

Glass is easy to clean and body-safe
Good size choices!
Cute and flirty!

Cons

Plastic gems just glued on; might eventually fall off
No storage bag included
Bottom end of heart shape might be uncomfortable for any extended wear

Packaging

Thin, nice looking, but protected!

It's very important to keep in mind that Adam & Eve generally prioritizes affordability, while still making a quality toy. This means they have to choose where they want the production cost to go, and it is not in their packaging. Which is fine! Most packaging just ends up in the trash, anyway. That said, while the packaging is overall nice to look at and informative of the items inside, it is flimsy, and got ever so slightly damaged on its way to me.

I will give them a big thumbs up for individually bubble wrapping them, though! Nothing was broken or chipped despite the slight exterior damage to the packaging.

The box contains only the plugs. There isn't a storage bag or anything included, which is a little bit of a bummer for me, but I can't say I necessarily expected one from Adam & Eve. Like I said, they're more about bang (hah) for your buck, not so much extras or luxury.

Design

Smooth glass, wide bases, solid construction!

The gems fit nicely in the depressions on the base, there aren't any stray glue strands or loose decorations. The glass is smooth without any seams or harsh edges... except for the point at the bottom of the heart. These weren't necessarily designed for extended wear, I think; if it turns at all, you'll have that point poking into you, and that could get uncomfortable rather quickly.

Now, I have a small issue with "princess plugs" in general, and that is the fact that, particularly for the large ones, the widest part of the plug is sometimes wider than the flared base. That is not safe, and the plug is more likely to get lost or stuck inside you, and therefore more likely to send you on the most mortifying trip to the ER one can have. However, these plugs pass that test! The base on the largest plug is slightly wider than the widest part of the plug. You love to see it!

Quality

Solid glass, well-attached gems!

While Adam & Eve is a more affordable brand, they don't cut corners when it comes to the product itself. This is a high-quality set of toys made of solid glass that doesn't feel fragile and will not break on you. I think that the gems are just attached with glue, but they are solidly on there--I picked at them a little bit to see if they were loose or would come loose easily, and they didn't budge at all. I'm sure that over time if you use them rigorously or really try your hardest, the gems might come off eventually, but that isn't something you'll need to worry about for some time.

Materials and care

Non-powered, glass, waterproof!

Because this toy is non-powered and glass, it's completely waterproof and easy peasy lemon squeezy to take care of. Won't blink an eye at a shower, bath, or swimming pool if that's your kinda thing. I also think it's important to prioritize your anal toys being made of non-porous materials, like glass, metal, or silicone; that way you won't be harboring any bacteria even after you wash it. As long as you're mindful of the area on the base between the gem and the glass, you should be golden.

Performance

Exactly what's on the tin!

With no batteries to worry about running out, these plugs will keep up with you all day and all night. The point of the plug, in my opinion, is to add to the experience of whatever else you're doing, and these do exactly that. They add a sensation of fullness, and are like a little cherry on top for lingerie. These in particular, with the cute shape and color, add a little something sexy to your session, be it solo or with a partner (or partners, if you so choose!). I find plugs to be incredibly erotic and add a lot to the experience. Whether it be your first foray into something a little kinky, or you're an anal veteran looking for a cute accessory, this set will fulfill that for you. The size range, from the small and medium being just 1.57" and 1.58" wide at their widest respectively, and the largest being 1.61" at its widest, it's very beginner friendly, while also being very approachable for those of us who are more experienced. Just be aware that the point of the heart at the bottom can be a little uncomfortable for long-term wear if it gets turned sideways and is poking into your booty cheek. Otherwise, this lives up to expectations quite nicely.

Experience

Comfortable, smooth, sexy!

I find glass so sensationally interesting. It's hard, it doesn't have any give, so you can definitely feel it, but it glides in so smooth with the help of a little lube. There's no pulling or weird edges, so these plugs are super easy to insert and take out. They are comfortable for a plug with as wide of a base as these are--you're probably not going to be comfortable wearing them all day as with some plugs with a more narrow base, but since the edges are slightly rounded, they're not uncomfortable as soon as you put them in (again, minding the pointed bottom of the heart). They felt sexy and erotic, and looked hot to wear! I was delighted at how much I could feel them despite their size--I'm one of those folks who is more on the experienced side when it comes to anal (my go-to plug for kinky stuff and longer term wear is 1.8" in diameter!) so these were very unintimidating to me, but very fun to use regardless.

Price

Bang for your buck! (Pun intended!)

I was once again lucky enough to have these sent to me by the amazing folks here at ToyChats. However, it looks like the MSRP on these is $54.99, but they are always on sale on the Adam & Eve website for somewhere between $32.99 and $27.49. Plus, it is super easy to find a code for 50% off an item + free shipping for Adam & Eve. So, for somewhere around $10 a plug, if you're looking for a fun and cute addition to your collection, a way to spice things up in the bedroom, or something beginner-friendly, these are definitely worth it.

A quick anal PSA...

This one's for those of you looking to try anal for the first time. Sex education as been a passion of mine for years, and the biggest thing I tell folks is to never, ever, ever, under any circumstances use desensitizing lube for anal. You need to be able to feel what's going on back there. If it hurts, stop. Using desensitizing lube makes it far more likely for you to end up injured. If you've truly never put anything in your butt before, start with a metric ton of lube and fingers. Work up to two fingers, then try the smallest plug in a training set like this one. Listen to your body! You'll have a much better time that way, I promise.
