How's the design?

The design is very modern and elegantly designed. It's playful and functions well. It feels premium and high-quality with comfortably positioned curves. It's pill shape is comfortable and ergonomic to hold and use. The sleek black color is really appealing, and suits the modern style perfectly.

Convenient battery level displayed. Blinking while charging, solid when full, blinks while below 25%. I always appreciate when there's a way to check the battery level.

How's the quality?

The quality of the toy is durable and well-made, it's obvious they didn't skimp on quality. It's dense but not too heavy to be awkward to manipulate or use for long periods. The quality of the sleeve is high-quality and silky while the buttons are easy-to-use and durable. The magnetic charging is strong and reliable. The quality of the sleeve material is fantastic and unlike any other toy I've used, it's definitely unique. Almost feels like theirs's a gel inside of it for cushioning, but I believe it's just the high-quality silicone.

How was the experience?

My overall experience is that it is an intense toy with the ability to get me off quick. The vibrations are strong but fade a little more into the outer casing rather than being directed through the penis. The intensity is enhanced by the airwaves this toy produces, one of the only toys I've heard to use this feature. This isn't described as a simple suction but rather a stimulation based on pulsating airwaves.

There's an easy to use auto-pilot mode that randomly cycles between three separate patterns. There are three patterns for each level of intensities. Low, medium, and high intensity's are randomly activated when auto-pilot mode is activated.

The Arcwave Ion 2's air pulsing is designed to be positioned on the frenulum which induces an intense sensation, makes orgasm's very strong. Stroking with all these features combined is very intense, especially with the tight and ribbed tunnel. The sensation is suction-like, very similar but a little different feeling; more direct.

Extra features?

There's a built in smart silence mode that only activates the air-pulsing mode when the penis is inserted, this is done to reduce excessive volume. This doesn't exactly solve the issue of loud volume, as there's a delay between when the mode is activated, and de-activated, but it does help. Smart silence mode can be disabled by pressing the + and - button's together for five seconds, this will keep the air-pulsing activated without direct contact to skin.

The sleeve is easily detachable from the base for an easy to clean experience. It twists off and on with little effort.

Included is a convenient zip-able cloth storage case, perfect for long-term storage.

How did it perform?

The Arcwave Ion 2 performs very well and makes for some super intense orgasms when positioned directly on the frenulum. The vibrations are strong, but rumble and are quite loud. I mostly use the auto-pilot mode as that keeps things exciting by randomly switching up intensities. The air-pulsating feature is definitely the loudest part of the toy and makes it impossible to be discrete.

Using water-based lube is required and prevents material degradation. I found the slicker that the slicker the lube, the better.

Materials

The material of the sleeve is described as CleanTech silicone. Doesn't feel like ordinary latex and is more plush and pillow-like. It's very pleasant to the touch and feels fantastic when lubed up. The material, while soft, is still very durable and hasn't shown any signs of durability issues. The hard plastic easy gripped for easy holding. CleanTech silicone is body-safe, and hypoallergenic.

Cleaning, drying, and maintaining.

While the overall experience is very messy due to the open end design, it's quite easy to ensure a clean experience with a towel laid down or a simple tissue. After a session, twist the top counter-clockwise to remove; highly suggest waiting to do this over a sink. This makes cleaning a breeze. Simply rinse with warm water and a mild soap or toy cleaner. Then dry with a lint-free towel, and store in a cool, dry place.

How's the packaging?

The packaging is modern and colorful. It showcases photos of the toy and general descriptions of use. Really cool design, I like it a lot, got some cool tie-dye like swirls. The unboxing experience is also nice and is presented elegantly.

Is it worth the price?

For what you’re getting it’s definitely worth the price. There are intense orgasms, deep vibrations, and durable qualities. As well as some pretty unique technology. Although I personally wouldn't purchase this toy again at $170 as that's just a little too expensive for a vibrating and suction capable stroker. If it were on sale for ~$120 I’d consider purchasing it.
