This is the third wand I've tested, and I have to say that wands are not my thing. My little lollipop-looking one was fun and perfect for me, but this powerful little beast from Blush has even more of a kick than the bigger-sized one I also tried out from another brand. Even the lowest setting on the Allana wand is powerful and hard to handle if you're not used to that much vibration. Now I know why I learned from the adult toy store I worked at for two weeks that wands are an acquired toy and can ruin you if you're not careful! I don't want to give you a bad outlook on this toy, though. Just because it's not for me doesn't mean that someone who loves using wands wouldn't find enjoyment in this particular toy. For $18, you're getting a lot!! The company provides 3 packets of lube and 2 batteries for the remote which is more than other companies include; CalExotics, for example, almost never provide a battery for their toys or remotes. Despite their popularity, I don't use a lot of magic wand style vibrators on myself because they're a bit too powerful and I prefer more pinpointed stimulation. If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.
