The Venus Butterfly is cute. If it weren't for the shaft coming out of the front of the butterfly, this might look like some type of kid's toy. It's definitely a big kid's toy and a dainty little fun one that will tickle you in places you enjoy. The whisper of a butterfly can be felt on one of the lower settings, but you'll feel like you're crossing into new plains of existence as you increase the vibe.
Made with premium silicone, the Venus Butterfly is nice and smooth. Because it is a smaller-headed toy, I didn't need to lube up for insertion. It went in nicely and stayed in place comfortably. The antennae sit right on your little hood perfectly, ready to tickle instead of clicking your mouse. I wanted to use it with the app but found that it was more of a social media-type app and felt like an unsafe place to be. If you're looking for love and fun with random online strangers, this might be a good fit for you though. I deleted the app shortly after I downloaded it. I know this doesn't have much to do with the hands-on feel of the product, but it definitely affected my feelings a bit, making me not want anything to do with the app.
The cringe-vibes of the app aside, I think this is a decent quality, bordering high quality. I'd say high all the way if it weren't for the sketchiness of the app, in fact. I love that it comes with a one-year warranty, which adds to the quality because it lets you know that the company stands behind its product and cares that its customers are getting something that works.
At around $77, this toy gives you exactly what you're paying for -- a fun time in the bedroom, alone or not. It seems like it will last a long time, even though the antennae are a bit dainty. I think the premium silicone was a good choice to ensure that this toy stays together while you get your money's worth out of it. The premium silicone, waterproof and submersible aspects, and the one year warranty are some of the other things that make this a fairly priced item. If that weren't enough, for someone who enjoys traveling, the secure travel lock will come in handy to keep you from embarrassing moments or having someone think there's a bomb in your bag.
The Venus Butterfly exceeded my expectations. When I opened the package I thought it was cute, but I wasn't sure something that tiny would get the job done, even if it has dual motors. Once I charged it up, though, I realized that it had some great potential. It didn't take me long to get off with this toy. Plus, even if you need a little more time to get your rocks off, this toy lasts from 40 to 90 minutes, depending on what speed you have it set at.
The box is kept shut with magnets. When you pop it open, you find the toy inside along with a charger. I love that it has a secure container so that the toy doesn't get jarred around and messed up before you get it into your hands.
