Chalovelo Thrum Review: Did Not Have Me Screaming Ciao Bello!

Video Review

Though it started out as a way to help conquer multiple reviews at once without things feeling extremely overwhelmed, I've been continuing these videos in order to appease those that prefer audio over reading, while continuing the write-ups to appease those that prefer reading over audio. If there's anything I can do better in either section for those of you that follow me, or those of you that are new to checking my stuff out, please don't hesitate to let me know! Regardless of the input I will always aim to be as honest, informative, and weird as I can be and am, but if I can make things easier to digest or include more information that you'd like to know about these toys I would love to know and aim to do so. :)

Rantings of a Mad Woman!

Off the cuff, it's weird to only be working on one review at the moment instead of multiple. I don't think I've really done one at a time since my very first one. I went from aiming to write a novella style review that was more classy, intriguing and elegantly full of innuendos to ones that are now prepped for more versatility in a sense... Mini Summary made things easier for myself and (I hope) other blog writers here on the site as basic toy information could just be plucked from there and reworded; I started this section so it could be skipped by those that didn't want to read my ramblings lol; packaging became an unexpected journal entry; and I thought I could be somewhat kinky by testing things while I typed up the genuine use portion of the review but who's to really say that was even intriguing anyway lol. ><"

I feel quite akin to the Thrum.... I want to be elegant, satiating, and appealing to several types of people... Instead of sticking to my guns and offering just one single awesome thing and being happy that anyone enjoys it at all.... I find I'm still aiming to please generically... so here's a lot of features... hope they appeal lol.

Unlike this toy, I at least attempt to give others a chance to avoid the bits they aren't interested in lol... but yeah. ><"

That shit aside, I'm super excited to get to try something from what seems to be a new company! Their site, though full of pink, is quite inviting and oddly elegant. I find that I'm really hoping their lingerie section actually includes some of the pieces featured in their pictures as I'd definitely be interested in slipping in and out of a few of those... But, of all the sites I've visited while trying to obtain information about the toys in my collection, I have to say it's one of my favorite's if not my favorite at the moment. There's just something about it that isn't as off-putting as others end up being. Which can also be said for the shade of pink they used for the toy, normally not a fan of that color at all but this is quite tolerable because of its soft pastel nature. Between that and their site I'm quite tickled...

Now it's just time to see if I'm genuinely tickled.. ;P ... ><"

Mini Summary!

I don't know about you, but I love a good ol' strum of a guitar... the vibration of each string as the notes echo through my mind and bring tingles to every inch of my body is just... exquisite. It's rather equivalent to the feelings I get when the right kind of finger actions Thrum across certain sensitive areas of the naughtier nature. Chalovelo's Thrum may have you screaming Ciao Bello/a as its calls you hither and expands your mind, body and soul with its interesting beaded design and buzzy vibrations. Thrum is designed to provide pleasurable A-Spot, G-Spot and Clitoral stimulation with its 10 main shaft features and 10 clitoral features. Simply hold the power button for 2 secs to power the device on/off; press the power button to continuously cycle through the main shaft settings; press the "~" button to continuously cycle through the clitoral settings; and quickly press either button twice to pause that particular feature and continue your session with the other. The use time is about 50 mins, the charge time is oddly ranged between 1.5hrs to 2hrs and it uses a magnetic charger to juice up. If you're a fan of singing in the shower, this toy is quite capable of helping you change which tune you'll be singing, though it's nothing but bubbles for you when it comes to bath time as the IPX6 rating is NOT waterPROOF, just water-resistant.

Packaging!

Chalovelo did a good job with their packaging! It has the same sleeve box style as CalExotic's Jack Rabbit, but mixed with the slide open box style that Tracy's Dog and Utimi use, though not as discreet. Can never go wrong with a simplistic, single-toned box that shares the basics and is sexy but keeps things classy... much like a Little Black Dress (LBD).

Outside of the coloring, I love the slide box style (it's second to the book style) and the overall size of the box (seems about the size of the box which isn't wasteful). I think the plastic wrap added for security could be potentially reduced to stickers on both ends to avoid plastic waste, but at the same time I think this does a good job of proving it hasn't been tampered with before arriving... honestly probably a better job than stickers would do... so meh lol.

What's in the Box?!

Inside the package: The toy itself, a magnetic charger and a manual.

I'm a sucker for the simplicity yet again... No unnecessary plastics; the box really is kept to the size of the toy; the foam insert keeps things in place; and the beautiful, informative, sturdy and short but sweet manual placard is just a chef's kiss lol.

The only complaint is the the only one I have the most... The lack of a storage/travel pouch. Though to their credit, the box is sturdy enough and minimalist enough that it could be used as the main means of storage for this device, though I know others would prefer something more space saving!

Main Shaft!

Information and operation: To operate simply hold the power button for about 2 secs to turn the device on/off, press the power button to continuously cycle through the settings and quickly press the power button twice to pause this feature. In order to use this feature on its own, quickly press the "~" button twice to pause the clitoral stimulator.

This definitely would've been better and had a higher potential to shine in my collection had there been a way to separately control the features for the main shaft... Never thought I'd actually say I want an app right now, but it's true.. I don't need 20 buttons on the toy itself, but give me some in an app that will let me crank things up and down or turn things off or... anything...

Have some music, a movie, a party or New York City noises happening around you... anything that can drown out the whininess and obnoxious nature of the motor sounds as they are just buzz kill.... Not to mention the unholy body noises it allows to happen... No thank you... I don't find queefing sexy in any sense... It's more of an embarrassment to me than a show of a good time and will take me out of the moment almost immediately. The ribs and pockets created by the beads made this an instrument of death more than one of pleasure... ><".

The shaft itself is pleasant, I could easily use it as a plain dildo and be happy, but this isn't really meant be just that... it has features that should be used and that should be pleasurable.... Now I'd like to think I'm quite tight down there, I can hug my pinky finger just fine and it was a bit of a job to get this in... but I could hear the features more than I could feel them. Unless I moved things to the outer lips I couldn't get a proper feel or any real pleasure out of it at all. The vibration was buzzy and quite lackluster, and the other features had potential but were just drown out but too much happening and too many loud noises.

Things had a sliiiight feeling when arousal picked up from the clitoral stimulation but there was still so much to fight to get a consistent amount of pleasure from it.

Though finishes happened, I didn't walk away from it feeling vibrant, refreshed and relaxed... I feel like I put work in and I have a more painful sensation below than a pleasant ticklish one. The amount of effort I put into finishing with this toy in comparison to others was just too much, and I am disappointed that I wasn't able to enjoy the features of it like they were meant to be... They were only pleasant when applied externally and even then with some effort.

Clitoral Stimulator!

**** I apologize profusely as I failed to mention it in the review video or feature it in any video, but the stem of the clitoral head is rather flexible! In fact, it can bend back to the handle. ****

This is easily the best feature about this toy, at least in my opinion. Though it doesn't naturally line up with my nether region perfectly, its flexible neck let me get it in place to try the ribbed body and at different points the balled tip. I like having the options for surface and pinpoint pleasure, adds more versatility to the play style.

The power settings for it are interesting. First and foremost, this is a buzzy toy through and through, no rumbles about it. The 3rd setting was interestingly enough too buzzy to handle for more than a few beats, but also just what I wanted for a moment... I found myself switching between one and two a lot, which is strange. I'll normally start at a lower level and want to go up and then ride that powerhouse setting out until it's over... but I kept flitting between the two trying to figure out where I wanted to be and what was enough to give me what I wanted. Which is annoying because to do so easily, meant turning the device fully off, back on, and pausing the main shaft.

Without this feature the main shaft was lackluster. The arousal from this feature allowed me to feel more of the main shaft features, but not enough for them to matter like I feel they should've.

Once again, finishes occurred, but the amount of work that went into any of them was way more than other toys in my collection...

The amount of work, the loud noises, and the lack of feeling from the main shaft features are why I won't be going back to this one anytime soon.
