My verdict

The Fleshy X3 is a well-build and easy-to-use toy that delivers a strong range of sensations. It looks great, feels solid, and works well with a variety of sleeves. The media sync feature is a major highlight for me and adds a lot of depth to my experience. It’s also pretty quiet, above whisper quiet during intense and fast motions, still great for those who need to be discreet. However, the lack of safety features is a real downside, especially for the $250 price. In a market full of strong competitors, it’s something that holds the toy back from reaching its full potential. The X3 is still being improved on, and its functionality is increasing down the line free of charge If you like what it offers, and are willing to use it carefully, it can definitely be a fun and valuable addition to your collection. The X3 is not a fragile toy by any means, as long as you proceed with caution you should be fine. But if safety and long-term reliability are top priority, it’s probably worth comparing a few other options or waiting to see what future versions improve on.

Pros

Compatible with almost any stroker
Battery life of 2-10 hours
Simple plug and play
Tons of content available via funscripts
Can be very intense as well as gentle

Cons

No excessive resistance detection cutoff
Computer only media sync
Not water resistant, potentially susceptible

How’s the design?

The Fleshy X3 looks great right out of the box. It has a modern, clean design that feels more like a high-end gadget than a typical sex toy. The matte finish gives it a nice grip and helps it stay looking clean without picking up a bunch of smudges. The toy has curves that make it easy to hold and adjust without slipping around during use.

The size was a bit smaller than I expected at first, but that actually ended up being a plus. It feels compact and solid in the hand, not bulky or awkward. The weight gives it a sturdy feel without it being too heavy.

However, while the physical construction is undeniably high end, that quality is overshadowed by a few important design flaws. Most notably, as far as I’ve noticed the toy lacks a backup safety mechanism that would detect and respond to excessive resistance. The motor continues pushing even when something gets in the way, I don’t know if this is only damaging during certain events like the homing sequence or if it’s an issue the entire time, not really something I can test to find out unfortunately. I actually experienced this issue personally, and the issues I was having are very commonly caused by excessive resistance. So far I’ve been using my replacement toy for three weeks and have not run into problems like before.

Thankfully Fleshy was kind enough to send me a replacement unit.

The X3 uses USB Type-C for its charging and connectivity features, included is a USB Type-A to USB Type-C adapter.

How’s the quality?

The Fleshy X3 feels impressively solid. It’s dense, and has that kind of build that immediately tells you it’s not some flimsy, throwaway toy. The materials feel high quality, from the sturdy outer casing to the well thought out stroker mount. There’s no creaking or loose parts, everything feels tight and intentionally engineered.

Both the power button and stick feel well made, although I wish the stick was made using more up-to-date technologies such as with a hall-effect sensor to allow for higher reliability. The stick is far too sensitive to have any real control, slow movements are impossible to pull off.

There’s a Fleshy support email that is available 24/7 and is very responsive.

What is the experience like?

The sensation was smooth and controlled. When it’s running, the movement feels steady without any shaking or mechanical roughness. There’s a nice sense of immersion, thanks to how accurate some synced media can be!

There are three available modes to choose from: connectivity mode, which is how you experience synced media; auto mode, which strokes automatically with an adjustable length and speed; and manual mode, which allows you to move the stroker via the joystick. Synced mode is where the toy really shines, my favorite mode. Auto mode is pretty nice, and is great when you don’t have access to a computer. Manual mode isn’t as useful as I had hoped, as the stick is far too sensitive to allow for any minor movements.

At slower speeds, it felt more like a slow grind than a basic back-and-forth, which was good for warming up or edging. When I pushed the speed higher, it became more intense without feeling like it was just slamming around. Certain scripts are better than others and it’s really a game of finding one that intrigues you.

The X3 can get very intense and is capable of a 6 inch stroke length. It can also reach 6 strokes per second at a one inch length.

The included stroker feels perfectly suited for the X3 and gives a deep and satisfying sensation, a really good middle ground, just make sure to peel off the top tab to allow for airflow. I missed this at first. The included stroker is body-safe and easy to disassemble and clean. Fleshy has a lot of different available textures on their website.

If you’re using a sleeve that’s designed to feel like oral or vaginal sex, the Fleshy X3 does a really good job of bringing out those textures. The steady movement makes all the little details more noticeable. You feel the tight spots, the ridges, and any suction much more clearly than you would if you were just using the sleeve by hand. I’ve noticed that the battery does get pretty warm after an extended session.

The toy is pretty silent which is very nice. Fleshy claims the X3 is as silent as a whisper, it’s pretty quiet but the noise can get louder than a whisper at intense moments. This is still great for those that don’t have much privacy and need to be stealthy.

What’s cool to mess around with is how different each sleeve can feel with the same motion. A soft oral-style sleeve feels like it should, light and teasing, while a tighter, more texture one feels way more intense. You can really keep expanding forever on the X3 by purchasing more sleeves.

For a demonstration of the media syncing properties feel free to check out the video I’ve posted on the ToyChats forum (NSFW WARNING).

The included lube sample suits the X3 perfectly, it’s very slick and doesn’t get tacky quickly. With the X3 the more lube the better as you want the least amount of friction possible.

How does it perform?

The Fleshy X3 offers a wide range of sensations, from calm and slow strokes to powerful and intense ones. The motion feels controlled and steady no matter the speed, allowing for both gentle sessions and more vigorous ones depending on what you prefer. It adapts well to any scenario thrown its way.

One of the standout features is how accurately the toy syncs with media. The timing matches the action on screen closely, creating an incredibly immersive experience. Since the toy responds directly to the stroke patterns in the funscript files, you get experiences that feel specific to each scene rather than something generic. This makes a big difference when switching between different types of content.

Another huge advantage is the practically unlimited content available. There are many different genres, scenarios, and even games to choose from, so no matter your tastes or mood, you can find synced media that suits you. The variety keeps things fresh and allows for a wide range of experiences with the same toy.

The largest toy that I’ve used would be the Riley Reid Insomnia Fleshlight, it performs extremely well and makes for a very fun experience. The size and weight have not been an issue at all, only minor issue would be strapping the toy tight even so that it doesn’t budge.

The X3 is compatible with funscripts which opens up a whole lot more content. There are multiple sites that have free scripts available.

FapTapAI

The Fleshy X3 also comes with a free month of FaptapAI, a subscription service that lets you grab most videos online and automatically generate a matching stroke pattern. With a subscription, you can create 30 custom scripts per day, or 1 per day on a free account. When the lighting is decent and the action is clearly visible from a straightforward angle, the stroke pattern it produces is surprisingly accurate and synced in a way that feels natural.

That said, the tool is not perfect. If the video is too dark, or if the action is obscured or filmed at a strange angle, the AI can struggle. In some cases, it might misread the motion, causing the toy to move at odd times, or skip over parts completely where it cannot detect what is happening. You will still get a usable video, but the experience might feel off or disappointing in those specific moments.

The Fleshy X3 is very easy to clean and maintain. A simple wipe down is all it needs after each use since the toy itself doesn’t come into direct contact with the body. The material is smooth and not harsh or irritating in any way, so it’s comfortable to handle and adjust during use.

One important downside is that the X3 is not waterproof. There’s a hole along the thruster path that’s exposed and can potentially damage the toy if any liquid gets inside. This is something I keep in mind throughout any use, as sometimes things can get messy but as long as you’re not pouring lube straight down the hole I’ve had no issues. Just something to be aware about.

Simple Precautions

Some precautions I take during use is that whenever the toy is on, and the motor is running, I do not force the toy to move. If you’re not actively using the toy, turn it off. Follow these rules and things will be a breeze.

Warranty

The Fleshy X3 does come with a warranty for 1 year that covers you in case the toy is faulty or breaks due to reasons out of your control. Like most warranties, it doesn’t cover water damage, which the X3 is unfortunately potentially susceptible to.

Packaging

The packaging is modern and makes for a pleasant unboxing experience, definitely has that premium feeling to it. Everything is well protected with foam padding, so even if your box gets beat up on the way to you chances are, your toy is not going to be damaged. The box is discreet, with the words “X3” on the box, looks like a box for a puzzle. The box is the perfect fit for long term storage of the toy especially since it’s pretty discreet.

Worth the price?

For $250, the Fleshy X3 is a great toy that adds a lot to any collection. It has a solid build, it’s easy to use, and it delivers a strong range of sensations that feel immersive and satisfying. It’s definitely a fun and well-made piece of gear.

That said, the price feels a little high when you consider the missing safeguards. With how competitive the market is, there are other toys out there that can match or even outperform it for the same cost or less.

Fleshy also states on their site that the X3 is constantly being improved with better functionality at no additional cost.

I’d still recommend the X3 if the design and features appeal to you and you’re careful during use. If you’re not comfortable with the fact that it’s lacking some safety features. I’m sure you could wait until v2 or v3 comes out and make your decision then. Just be aware that it’s not the only strong potential auto-stroker out there, and it’s worth comparing before you decide.

you decide.
