Kiiroo Limited Edition FeelGlow Review- The Glow in the Dark Masturbator

Design - I mean...it glows in the dark!

The Kiiroo Feel Glow Stroker is as the name suggests - a glow in the dark masturbator and while the method to charge the sleeve is the same, it's safe to say that this unit is definitely a step up from the glow and the dark stars you used to have as a kid!

Opening the box you immediately find that the design of the Feel Glow is slightly different to your usual fare from Kiiroo, gone is the flesh coloured sleeve and matte black outer case and in its place is an entirely glow in the dark internal sleeve that is housed in a translucent case. The case is not entirely see-through and has a kind-of frosted texture which enhances the way the glow looks while also obscuring the interior sleeve (you see more of a shadow when in use rather than detail when in use). The external shell is also compatible with the full range of Kiiroo Keon automatic stroker and Power Blow add on.

The internal sleeve is constructed of the same TPE material as the usual Kiiroo strokers, its supple, smooth, and doesn't attract a huge amount of lint. It feels really good! The downside with this unit however is that it lacks the detail associated with the 'Feel Stars' range and the overall design of the entry is pretty average and basic. It's disappointing as I've been really impressed with their porn star sculpts lately and while I'm not expecting perfection, a little more detail would have been appreciated.

The glowing though was impressive, to test this out I left the unit on top of a bedside table light for about 5 minutes face down with the cap on and the result was this awesome looking blue glow! As a concept I really liked the novelty of this feel glow and the fact that Kiiroo were trying something different in a crowded market. The downside of the glow in the dark material though was that it makes it hard to see what the sculpt looks like. Unfortunately the way light bounces off the TPE makes the sculpt blend in with itself and there is almost no definition visible in the entry point. The photos in this review are a pretty good indication of the amount of detail that you can see which unfortunately is not much.

Overall despite some shortcomings with the design the exterior shell and internal sleeve were of a good quality with no manufacturing defects and matched the same high standards as Kirroo's other strokers.

Experience & Performance - Feels good but there is a definite lack of variation inside.

The Feel Glow uses the Helix Power texture however unlike other Kiiroo masturbators I found that there is a definite lack of variation to the internal texture. It's not to say that it feels bad, but don't come into this expecting to be titillated and teased but multiple little pockets and changes in diameter - you just wont find that here. Instead the Feel Glow features a simpler series of nubs that extend down the length of the sleeve in a slight twisting detail.

I am used to having the feeling of the sleeve change as I stroke and its always a fun experience feeling the way different points put pressure on different parts of the shaft. Unfortunately if I'm being honest I was a little disappointed with this one. It feels just fine but overall lacks the dynamic qualities of other toys and is therefore less exciting when used by itself. There just isn't enough variation as the same texture is felt in the first inch and at the end, its just a little boring. It seems this sleeve is more suited more for longer play, edging or a warm up with a partner rather than solo use to achieve orgasm.

Accessories.

Given the poor reception that the Power Blow has had with other reviews (my review included), I actually had a better experience when I used this add on in conjunction with the helix texture. The Power Blow seemed to add the layer of dynamism that the basic sleeve was missing and would create a large amount of suction that pulled and releases the internal nubs against the shaft. While I don't recommend the Kiiroo app as its really quite bad, any of the other options help elevate this sleeve for edging sleeve to one that's quite fun to use.

Overall all the experience wasn't horrible, I just felt that given the amazing products that have come out previously from Kiiroo I think this really could it could have been better. It didn't need much but I think it would have benefited from some changes in sizes in the nubs along the length to squeeze the shaft slightly at various points and make the feeling a bit more dynamic.

Noise - nice and quiet.

Overall I was pretty happy with the amount of noise generated by the Feel Glow. Possibly due to the lack of internal structure there was a definite lack of squelching sounds compared to other, more looser models. Even the cap on this model seemed to make less noise than other options. Noise generation is really not an issue with the Feel Glow and suits more discrete use.

Materials and care

One thing that I really love about Kiiroo products is that they have nailed the TPE blend. Unlike their competitors which I seem to always need to apply a coating of cornflour to alleviate how sticky the material is after cleaning, I've found the Kiiroo material almost never needs it. Somehow it always stays soft and supple, I don't know how they do it, but it just works.

This is even more important with the glow in the dark material here, It would be disastrous if you pulled this out, charged it up and then saw every little spec of dust and lint on the surface! Thankfully that's not the case with the sleeve staying pretty clean.

Cleaning is pretty simple too, like with other strokers all you need is some toy wash, a rinse with some warm water and then let it air dry, it couldn't be simpler! I do wonder if this one needs a little more care though as due to the translucent nature of the material, you really want to be keeping this one super clean as any material build up or dare I say it, mould, will be visible from outside. Make sure you allow this one to dry completely before storing it away guys!

Packaging - Simple and to the point...it does look pretty though.

Unlike the Feel Stars range there is no porn star to grace the front of the Feel Glow box. Instead you get a pretty neat and tidy box with in the same blue colour as the glow in the dark sleeve.

Information on the box is pretty standard too and includes sectional diagrams, compatibility information and some basic information in multiple languages. There's nothing new here that you haven't seen before, but its safe, simple and gets the job done.

Price - its worth it if you like novelty.

I'm actually really torn on whether I recommend this toy or not. One one hand I really enjoy the novelty of the glow in the dark sleeve and the overall presentation was amazing, On the other hand while the sleeve was firm and stimulating, there just wasn't enough variation in the sleeve to make it enjoyable. Particularly when its competing against a drawer of masturbators!

If you're after something to spice up the bedroom and for use as a foreplay toy, then definitely look into it. for everyone else, unless you really want to purchase something with a bit of novelty there are better, more fulfilling options out there.
