Measuring at 4.7inches/106mm and weighing 195g the Gush 2 is a compact and ergonomic massager that sits comfortably in the palm of your hand without feeling oversized, making it suitable for both shorter sessions and longer playtimes. The toy features a forest green IPX7 waterproof, food grade silicone finish to the exterior that feels incredibly soft to the touch (although I will add it was a little bit of a dust magnet), a mirrored plastic detail on the base with magnetic charging points below and a single button for operation towards the top of the unit.

The wings on either side of the massager serve to wrap the penis in a way that is neither too loose nor too tight, they are highly flexible and accommodate a variety of thicknesses. When used as a stroker these wings remain pliable and do not interfere with the massagers use. To facilitate the hands free aspect of the massager the unit uses two included adjustable bands that help hold the Gush 2 in place. These are also made of the same silicone as the unit and also feel soft with no hard edges or sharp points. There is however a small risk of pinching the skin between the wings when fastened, so just be mindful of that. It's nothing severe but could dampen the mood if not careful.

Experience - So many options, but only if you use the Lovense app.

Let's get the negatives out of the way first. The Gush 2 is at its best when paired with the Lovense app, however when used without app control the amount of functions is limited. It's far from unusable, but an additional button that could control the intensity to the vibrations would have been welcome.

Basic use - button control only

On the front of the device you have a simple on/off/mode button. Hold this down and the device turns on, press it and it cycles through the modes and long press again and the device turns off. Without the app you have access to the following patterns:

1. Vibrate (in three levels of intensity).

2. Pulse. A simple low/high setting.

3. Wave (my preferred setting). Rhythmic vibrations that ramp up in intensity.

4. Fireworks. Similar to wave but there are steps between intensities.

5. Earthquake. Intense stepping vibrations.

App use - Where this toy really shines.

Now app control are where this thing really shines, there are just so many options available.

• Remote - For local control via an onscreen touchpad. Vibrations are adjusted in real-time with no perceived delay.

• My Patterns - For creating your own unique pattens.

• Control Link - Linking the toy to someone else for remote control.

• Control Roulette - Now this was interesting - you can put out a request for someone else to take control of the toy. You can keep this anonymous or if you're inclined you can also dirty talk, send photos and audio.

• Additional controls - include game, apps, music and interactive video control.

Additionally when synced with the VibMateX app, in addition to games and video control you also get access to AI sync. This feature uses AI to sync the movements in porn to the vibrations in the app. This was way better than anything I had used before in that it actually synched in real time, even more impressive was that it seemed to do this on the fly with every thrust translating into a vibration on the massager.

But how does it feel?

Overall whether your using this massager alone, with your partner or a random connection, I found the Gush 2's strong and powerful vibrations would get me to orgasm in no time at all. More subtle vibrations were great for edging, while everything set to max would have me ready to blow in minutes flat. The oscillating motor just seems to hit the right spot on the glans that makes me go - oooohh and leave me wanting to go another round.

A word of caution though, I did find that the glans massager could be a little too intense at times and there was a bit of tenderness after multiple uses. Depending on how you feel you may require a bit of a break between uses to recover or a lower setting for extended play.

As a basic toy it will do what it needs to get you off, however the app controls really set lovense toys apart. There's nothing more kinky and risqué though than letting a random person take control and essentially play with your shaft and head while you watch some porn. The massager is great by itself but if exhibitionism is your thing then you will really enjoy this toy.

There is really not much to say about care and maintenance, it feels good on the skin and it's waterproof so you can both use it anywhere and once your done, simply wash it up with some toy cleaner. Care and maintenance is super simple.

Packaging

Simple and restrained.

The packaging for the Lovense Gush 2 is simple and overall is well designed. On the front is a basic line drawing and explanatory text in a metallic silver finish which gives it a premium look. A QR code can also be found on the bottom right of the box which takes you to an introductory video - helpful for when you want to see the available features when researching in brick and mortar stores. The sides and rear of the box are basic, only displaying graphics and technical information in multiple languages.

Inside the Gush is neatly placed inside a foam insert, along with a charging cable inside a pink cardboard box, a manual and the two straps were placed loose inside. While it has no baring on the review score, it would have been nice if these were slotted somewhere.

My only complaint is that again for a very expensive toy there is no included bag for storage. Yes you could always put it back in the shipping box, but if your like me and have multiple toys, it can be a bit of a mood killer looking for specific attachments in the heat of the moment. Having a neat storage bag included would go a long way to upping the longevity of the massager.

Was it worth the price? Yes, Yes, OMG Yes.

That's really all that needs to be said. If this broke, was lost or damaged I would buy another in a heartbeat!

Lovense set out with a clear idea of what they wanted to achieve and they hit it out of the park. Yes I have used many toys that have gotten me to cum, but none have been able to do so hands free, there is always a hand kept in an awkward angle or propping up of the toy that needs to be done to keep it in place. With the Gush 2 I was able to strap it on and just let it work its magic and for that alone it is definitely worth the cost of admission.

Despite the reliance on app connectivity, this is a toy that I can really get behind and recommend. Yes its expensive, yes it has limitations, but overall, fuck me getting of hands free feels good.
