Lovense Gush 2 - Test & Review

How's the design?

It's expertly designed, I was a bit unsure what to expert in terms of functionality due to the odd shape, but it works very well. It's definitely a modern design that ensures all sizes will be able to enjoy. It's a small toy at four inches long and two inches wide. It's size fits in the hand comfortably and more importantly sits comfortably around the penis.

The color is a nice hue and looks fantastic. Both of the provided straps for hands-free play are the same color and material. One notable downside is the button placement to cycle power and patterns is placed a bit awkwardly, and I hit it accidentally during use often.

How's the quality?

The quality is dense and top-quality. I've always heard Lovense toys were top notch, and it definitely hasn't disappointed. It feels soft to the touch and hasn't shown signs of degradation or tearing. The silicon allows for a flexible and comfortable experience that easily adapts to different sizes. The IPX7 waterproof makes using the toy worry free. The magnetic charging is strong and easy to use.

Definitely built for long-term use in mind. The toy comes with a 1-year warranty.

What's the experience like?

The experience was surprising nice, I was unsure how quick it would get me off but the vibrations are really strong and it didn't take much to get me going. It's easy to get started by cycling through the given patterns built into the device. There's seven built in patterns with increasing intensity, they're honestly very nice and is all you need. The hands-free capability is designed well, it's nice just sitting back and chilling while the toy goes to town. There is the ability to stroke during use either without the hands-free strap's or with, I found there to be more stimulation with the straps. Lubes required when stroking. Make sure to use water-based lube as other lubes will degrade the material. If you're not stroking no lube is required. I found the vibrations to feel best when positioned on the frenulum, but can be positioned anywhere.

The open design is nice and is very easy to use. Also makes insertion incredibly simple. It does get a bit messy, so I highly recommend having a towel laid out and/or tissues nearby. The two adjustable straps are easily attached and detached.

The battery is stated to provide 70-110 minutes, I found it to be more the 70 minute side. This is enough for most, but I personally love longer sessions and would have loved a longer battery life. Obviously weaker vibrations would allow for a longer battery life, but I'd much rather forfeit some battery life for stronger vibrations.

Additional features?

You could take it one step further by connecting it to your mobile device or PC via Bluetooth. This opens the toy up to a ton more features. First and foremost the ability to sync to content is done very well, and provides unlimited possibilities. You can sync to media on the phone via a couple app's but my favorite would have to be Vibemate, it's an all-in-one app that has a built in browser with a ton of convenient features. The Vibemate app is available on the Mac, windows, Apple, and the Google Play store. There's also the ability to sync to music and ambient sound in the room. Music's interesting and was a little fun, but not the best responsiveness. The ambient sound is more of a gimmick to me.

I personally don’t stream on a cam website, but this toy is definitely the perfect fit for anyone who does. Lovense makes it a breeze to setup if you’re into that.

Sync able content

Syncing content can be done to videos, livestreams, and games. Livestream content is fun and interesting because you can sync to the model and feel what they feel. There's also custom patterns you can make yourself, as well as community uploaded patterns.

The Gush 2 is fantastic for long-distance relationships and can be controlled from anywhere via the Lovense App also available on the Mac, Windows, Apple, and Google Play Store.

How did it perform?

The Lovense Gush 2 performs surprisingly well. It being a vibration only toy I was a bit worried I wouldn't get off as hard as I would want to, but I was pleasantly surprised just how intense this toy is. The vibrations are deep and resonant, they penetrate easily and are strong. It's strength is enhanced when using the provided hands-free straps, as the entire toy is only resting on yourself allowing for a fully encompassing sensation. The tightness of said hands-free straps is easily adjusted and isn't difficult to get used to.

How's the noise?

The overall noise is low, I mean really low. Quietest vibrating toy I've ever had, while still being very powerful.

Materials

The Lovense Gush 2 is made of food-grade silicone. It's durable and feels pleasant on the skin. The material is body-safe, hypoallergenic, and non-porous. It's also incredibly easy to clean.

Cleaning and maintaining.

Cleaning can be done by rinsing with warm water and a mild soap or toy cleaner. Residue is removed easily and requires very little elbow-grease to remove. To dry simple pat down with a lint-free towel and store in a cool, dry place. The provided box is well-suited for long-term storage. It's IPX7 waterproof, so there's no worry of damage cause by liquids.

How's the packaging?

The packaging is simple and modern. With a decent unboxing experience that proudly presents the toy. The design feels premium and isn't doing to much. The packaging also states its intentions clearly; it is not discreet.

Is it worth the price?

Without an active sale the Lovense Gush 2 costs 200$, which I think is a bit steep for me. But it seems to go on sale very often for 50% off, much more appropriate price. It can also be acquired via a bundle for a cheaper price. The average discount price of $100 is a very great deal, especially for a toy that can be reused for a very long time. There are multiple bundles available to suit various interests.

Would you recommend it?

I'd definitely recommend this toy at the discount price or bundle price. I'd purchase this toy again at $100 most definitely. Especially considering all the features available.
