Compared to earlier versions, this tail is firmer and less flexible, which helps it stay in place under clothing or movement. The controls are partially physical (button press to turn on/off and cycle through basic vibration modes) but truly shine via the remote app control, which allows for more nuanced pattern work, customization, and long-distance control. An LED light tail feature adds a visual dimension: customizable lighting that changes with vibration modes, which some will love for aesthetic feedback, though others may prefer to switch the light off for discretion. Waterproofing is solid — an IPX7 rating means it can be submerged in water for cleaning or use in the shower/bath (though you’d want to avoid prolonged submersion with electronics exposed). The overall shape is ergonomic, made to be worn comfortably, and feels more polished than previous models. The build looks good, with smooth transitions between parts and no obvious rattling or misaligned seams.

Price

At $250 AUD, the Lush 4 sits in the upper mid-/premium tier of intimate toys. It’s not cheap by any means, but when you compare what features you’re getting, the price begins to make sense. You’re not just paying for “vibration”; you’re paying for build quality, app connectivity, long battery life, the LED tail, waterproofing, and the ability to control it remotely (including via app). If you value discretion, extended wear, or the ability for a partner to control it from elsewhere, the Lush 4 gives enough extras that it feels like more than just an ordinary vibrator. That said, for someone only after basic vibration or wants something simpler, the price might feel like overkill. But if you want a feature-rich toy, this one provides a lot for its cost.

Quality

In terms of craftsmanship, the Lush 4 delivers well. The silicone is body-safe, soft to the touch, without rough edges or seams, which is important for comfort and hygiene. The internal motor feels well-seated and vibration delivery is consistent — no weak spots, no sudden drops in power over time (at least in the feedback I found). The button feels solid — not loose or wobbly. The magnetic charging port is better sealed than in earlier versions, which addresses a common complaint in previous models. The LED light tail is well-embedded, looks clean, and doesn’t seem cheaply made. One trade-off: the thicker tail means it’s less flexible than older Lush models, which some users may find means a bit more bulk or pressure against certain clothing, but overall, the sturdier feel improves longevity and stability.

Performance

This is where the Lush 4 shines. It’s a powerful G-spot egg. Vibrations are rumbly (deep, satisfying) rather than purely buzzy, which tends to feel more effective for internal stimulation. The motor strength is strong enough to deliver intense sensations, especially when you push into higher modes. Battery life is excellent. On lower/moderate settings, you can get up to ≈350 minutes of continuous use (nearly six hours), depending on vibration intensity. On high settings, the run time drops, but even on full power it’s still decent (≈122 minutes reported at max in some instances). It charges in about 50 minutes, which is a noticeable improvement over older models. As for connectivity: Bluetooth is stable, pairing is fast, and the app gives a lot of flexibility — unlimited/custom pattern options, syncing with music, remote control. Noise levels are generally pretty low, especially at lower power. At maximum vibration there is some audible sound, but nothing overly loud. Discretion is very usable for most people. One slight downside is that the tail’s shape gives minimal clitoral contact or stimulation — it’s not built to substitute a dual-stim toy. If external stimulation is important, you’ll likely want something additional or combine with another toy.

Materials

The Lush 4 uses high-grade, body-safe silicone for the insertable egg portion and most of the exterior. The LED tail uses electroplated plastic (for the lighting features), which transitions at the point where silicone meets the tail, so that seam or material boundary requires a bit more attention when cleaning. The toy is IPX7 waterproof, so water exposure (e.g. shower or bath) is generally safe. BUT as with all toys with electronics, you want to ensure it’s dried properly, avoid long submersion if not needed, and avoid using while charging. Use only water-based lubricants (silicone lubricants can degrade silicone surfaces). Cleaning is pretty easy thanks to the smooth, seamless design of most surfaces. The material feels luxe, warms relatively quickly to body temperature, and holds up well to cleaning without irritants or roughness developing over time.
