Lovense Lush 4: Remote Control, Real Pleasure

The whole toy is made of hot pink silicone which makes quite the statement! It's a C-shaped egg vibrator with the inserted egg part having a roughly 1.5" width at it's widest, and the other thinner side having about a 1/2" thickness. The egg has a slightly pointy design for the part that will press into your G-spot for maximum stimulation. On the underside of the thinner part lies the charging contacts and the on/off button. The neck of the toy connecting the two sides is relatively flimsy, there's no structure to keep it in place, but as this isn't a clit toy it doesn't actually matter too much.

The thinner part also has a shiny, metallic looking plastic top that has a light up strip that can actually change colors with different vibration strengths or patterns. You can customize the light show from the app, or just turn it off altogether to make it more discreet.

First off this is strictly a G-spot vibrator with the vibrations all coming from the inserted egg side. Even though there is a clitoral arm, minimal vibrations get transferred through to that side so don't expect dual stimulation. The egg itself is a bit on the larger side so you definitely need some natural or water-based lube to insert it, and it still could be slightly uncomfortable for people who aren't used to the girth. That said, it stays in place very nicely even while walking around and with the soft silicone exterior it will be quite comfortable for most people. The outer arm is also nice and thin so it doesn't protrude very much.

The vibrations are nice and rumbly, the large size of the egg makes for a very satisfying and full feeling. At the low to medium end, the vibrations are great for some teasing or edging, and at the high end they can be quite powerful and get you over the edge. The slightly pointy part at the center is slightly squishier, and it hits just right after some adjustment, and generally stays in the right spot if you're not moving too much.

It's also very quiet, just about 36 dB at the low end of the vibration strength and ramping up to ~40-42 dB at the top end. While inserted though it's muffled quite a bit which makes it fairly discreet and possible to use in public (but maybe not a library like their marketing material might lead you to believe).

This is where the toy really shines, the bluetooth connected app allows you to do so much more with this toy, and frankly it's not even worth it if you're not going to take advantage of this feature. You can customize vibration patterns and strength, by setting a maximum strength level that everything else scales to if it's too powerful for you. There is a whole menu for letting you create your own patterns which you can save, and you can set up playlists of the built in and custom patterns so it never gets stale. You can even download patterns that other people have shared if you can't be bothered to create your own. The toy can be synced to music or some video content with another linked app as well.

You can also share a link to allow someone else to remotely control your toy via the internet, which is really fun for partnered play. My partner and I don't live together and this gives us another option for some fun when we're not together. Because it's so quiet, you can easily use this feature in public too. It adds a little extra spice to a date night. The app even allows you to give access to strangers with a social matching feature that lets you send messages or voice chat.

The biggest strength is how good the bluetooth connection is. So many other toys offer a bluetooth option but it rarely works well, especially for an inserted toy which will then have it's connection slightly blocked. Lovense has always done a good job with this and the Lush 4 keeps their streak going.

The toy was very nicely packaged in a lidded box covered with plastic shrink wrap to seal it. Inside the box the toy itself is set into a sturdy black foam with a cutout shape just for the toy, and there is a little slot for the charging cable which is nicely wrapped up in its own cardboard sleeve. While not Apple level presentation, it feels high quality. I'll note though that the black foam did leave some residue on the toy so I would not recommend storing the toy in this box, and it definitely needs a cleaning before first use.

I did notice that other older reviews had different packaging, so I'm not sure if they've made a recent change or if where you purchase from might impact that, but just be aware that your packaging might look different.

As mentioned in the last section, the toy came with a little bit specks of foam stuck to it, and it actually had some grime caught in the recessed charging area also which was a bit of a disappointment for such a high priced toy. That said, it was very easy to clean out with just soap and water, and the soft touch silicone isn't super picky about how you clean it. Boiling to sterilize would NOT be recommended because of the more delicate electronics inside. Also, be careful to only use water based lubes with this toy, as oil-based, silicone, or even hybrid lubes could damage the silicone body of the toy. I would take some care to not leave the metal charging contacts wet for too long to avoid corrosion, but otherwise it's a relatively low maintenance toy.

Speaking of the charging contacts, the included magnetic charger is easy to use with any charging brick you have laying around, and it stays in place reasonably well. I wish the magnets were a little stronger but once you get it connected it won't budge without some significant jostling. While it takes 50 minutes for a full charge, just 5 minutes are needed for a full hour of play which makes it so easy to top up just when you need it!
