Lovense Max 2: A Fun Time for 2

Design

The product had a nice design to it. It's a futuristic minimalist look. It might be discrete from a distance, with the cap closed. But once you open it, it's pretty apparent that it's a masturbator. The orifice is simple and to the point. It's a circle and you just go in. The little ridges along the case are nice to hold and provide some grip.

Experience

I had a great experience with this toy, but I can easily see it being divisive for the community. If you're looking for an auto stroker, then look elsewhere! You can't turn this toy on and sit back while it does the work for you. You'll have to actively stroke yourself while using this toy. Other toys can stroke your dick up and down, but this toy more so compliments that feeling. While you're stroking, it can contract on your dick and vibrate. And that feels pretty damn good. The toy achieves this through two different "bumps" in the case. If you look at the photo, then you'll see a little "pill" towards the bottom right. This pill vibrates the whole sleeve. It feels great! I loved it when it was set at a pretty intense setting. It didn't interfere with stroking and it only complimented it. Contraction is achieved through the other little nubs throughout the case. They squeeze inwards to create that feeling. They do this with air, and the air release valve on the end of the toy releases that pressure.

I loved the contraction, but it did interfere with stroking at times. If it was too tight, then I found that I slipped out and it was a little difficult to insert myself again. You could just relax and let it vibrate/contract on your dick without stroking, but I didn't really like how that felt. Like I said earlier, I found the contractions and vibrations to be more of a compliment to stroking. This is going to improve your sessions, not take over them completely. I loved the included sleeve. It was pretty loose and featured a bunch of oval-shaped nubs. As I was stroking, I noticed that these flapped up and down on my dick and it felt amazing. I think this would be a great sleeve even if it was a manual masturbator! Lovense has released more sleeves for this toy so I will definitely try those out sometime soon. Performance

The product definitely performed as advertised. The charging cable is magnetic, so don't lose it because it's pretty unique. The air valve can also be found at the end of the machine. The buttons on the machine and the app performed great. It was easy to adjust everything to my liking (or have a partner do it through the app). I didn't find any issues with the performance.

Noise

Unfortunately, the noise of this machine was probably the biggest problem I had with it. It was really noisy. The air release valve made so much noise. I'd say that it might have been able to be heard outside of a closed room. The vibration was also pretty loud, probably because it's attached to the case and it's rubbing up against your dick.

Packaging

The packaging was great. Included was the toy itself (with the sleeve already inside), the charger, a manual, and a nice black bag. I loved the bag and how sleek it felt. It really upped the unboxing experience and made this feel like a luxury toy.

Materials and care

The toy was really easy to clean! You can simply pull the sleeve out and turn it inside out to wash and dry. It doesn't take too long at all and the experience is pretty quick. Pulling out the sleeve didn't feel unnatural at all, either. Sometimes, manufacturers do everything in their power to keep the sleeve and case attached, which can make it feel a little difficult or awkward to pull the sleeve out of the case.

Long-Distance Play

I tried this toy with a partner and it was amazing. They were able to control the two independent functions of the app pretty easily. Adjustments are quick and easy, too. They were able to set the functions to "Loop" (keep it at a certain pattern) or "Float" (keep it consistent) so that they can independently use their own toy. It was a fun experience and the features of the Max 2 really improved it. I have yet to try it with a partner using the Nora (which should sync Max 2 strokes to the Nora's thrusting speed) so I will update this review when I try it!
