Design
Oui Oui Bitch
The French Tickler is an innovated, unpatented design, and I am unsure how to categorize it. Is it a vibrator? A spinner? I think the French Tickler is in its own category of sex toys, and I'm here for it! The shape of this enigma is reminiscent of a mushroom that has been dipped in a bubble gum pink and teal color that is loud, proud, and oh so high browed. The charger cable is easy to insert, which can be found at the base of the tickler. The product is marketed as "working like a finger, feels like a tongue," and is supposed to stimulate getting eaten out. The design is what really caught my eye because I had never seen a sex toy that had so many ridges and bumps, it looks enticing...possibly pussy wetting. The 6 speed control was fairly intuitive, and I eventually understood the spinning cycle for all the controls. The toy is quite heavy, and not ideal for partner play because of its large head and thick body.

Quality
Solid Build With A Touch of Zaniness
The French Tickler is sturdy, well-made, and seems like it could withstand the test of time. The version of the French Tickler that was given to me was just a demo, so the final product will probably look different than the one pictured above. Included in the package is a charger and the toy. Since the business is new to the adult industry, they are still adjusting to the curve of customer needs like providing a carrying pouch, user manual, etc. I think it will be interesting to see how the French Tickler will do when it hits the market because it is an interesting concept, but in use the tickler is a different story. It seems like a lot of thought and intention was put into the construction of the toy, and the silicone material seems to be pretty standard. The website is lacking a lot of information that I am interested in, like how the toy works, charging time, waterproof rating, and more specifics about the material used.

Performance
Prototype in Progress
Since this is the prototype, the performance was lacking in some areas, but that may be because this is not the final version of the product. Based on the different spinning speeds, I could tell that the toy definitely had power. I just don't know if that power was direct enough for pinpointed stimulation. This is a pretty heavy toy, so it may not be the best for people who have grip or wrist mobility issues. It takes a lot of strength to hold the toy in place, and requires lots of focus for angling the toy correctly on the clit.

Experience
Rotating Mushroom Vibes
The experience was interesting to say the least. It was the first time that I was confronted with a toy with no instruction manual, so it was a bit of an experiment for me. I began with rolling the mushroom head on my skin to feel the textures and help my body get acquainted with the toy. The nubs of the mushroom are super hard and rigid, which made me wonder if I was supposed to fully insert the mushroom into my vagina. I warmed myself up with a bullet vibrator, and grabbed some lube to find the best angle for insertion. To my surprise, it was not a comfortable fit, so I opted to use the tip of the mushroom for clit stimulation instead. While this toy is innovative, I don't know if it is necessarily designed for my anatomy as I didn't really feel much sensation from the toy. Like I said, I am not sure if I was using right, however, I cycled through the different settings to find one that would get me to the big O and it never came. I think what made it hard for me to cum was the texture of the nub and speed of the rotating head. Typically when I want external stimulation I like the toy to either produce rumbly or buzzy vibes, but the French Tickler kind just ran circles around my clit. There are so many nubs on the mushroom head, but only like two of them were actually on my clit, so I am wondering if this is more of a sensory experience toy. Maybe next time I use it, I will rub it along different parts of my body to elicit more sensations along my skin.
Materials and care
Easy Clean Up
The French Tickler feels nice on the skin, and I believe that the head of the toy is made of silicone. I am not sure if the toy is waterproof, or the specifics of it because there was no instruction manual included in the package. The clean up process was extremely easy as I just washed it with a wet towel, mild soap, and air dried it. I made sure not to get the handle of the toy wet because it is made of a different material than the head, and I was afraid I would break the toy if I put water on that part. I would recommend to focus your cleaning on the mushroom nubs and pay less attention to the handle.
Packaging
Aesthetically Pleasing
The package that it came in was cute because it maintained the pink and blue color scheme of the toy. What was especially endearing about the packaging was the front cover of the box had a little peekaboo window so users could get a sense of what the toy looked like before actually unboxing it. The unboxing process went fairly smoothly, and included in the box was the toy, a charger, and a contact information card. The packaging was reminiscent of the rose toy unboxing that I did a couple weeks ago. Overall, I don't have many notes about the packaging. However, I did notice that the toy did not come with a carrying case which makes sense because it's such a large toy. Yet, I know a lot of people prioritize having a carrying pouch included in their purchase because it keeps the toy from collecting dust and residue on its surface.
Price
Average Toy Cost
The French Tickler costs $47.99 which is a reasonable price for most sex toys. I would argue that it is a little expensive because the toy lacks that pinpointed stimulation that folks with clits crave. However, for novelty toy collectors this toy may be a great addition to your stockpile because of its zany and unique design. The concept of the toy is great, and I think it has a lot of potential to deliver the wow factor that other competing toys have. However, there are some things that need to be changed in order for it become a regular in my rotation. I would love to review a newer model of this toy in a couple years to see what has changed and if the stimulation elements have improved.
