The plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager packs a lot of power for its price. My partner originally purchased it before we got together, and while it’s not a match for my rumbly preferences, I can see why it’s a favorite. The flexible design, waterproof build, and dual motors make it versatile, but the intensely buzzy vibrations turned me off. But it’s a solid choice for anyone seeking intense sensations on a budget.
Pros
Budget-friendly
Flexible build
Waterproof and easy to clean
Cons
Vibrations are intensely buzzy
Performance drops with battery life
Magnetic charging port is finicky and unique to the brand
Design
The plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager is a bright pink color, which is the only option available. The shape and tip shape are well-designed, with a sleek and ergonomic take on the classic rabbit shape. The shaft is extremely flexible, which is a huge plus – it makes penetration easier and allows for more comfortable use in multiple positions, even with a partner.
However, depending on your body shape, aligning the external arm with your clitoris can be tricky when lying down, especially if your clitoris is smaller or less protruding. Using it while standing in the shower helped me get the positioning right.
Experience
As a technologist, I was curious to see how the dual motors of the plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager would feel. The design sounded promising, but I quickly discovered that you can’t control the motors separately – it’s all vibration, all the time. I usually prefer penetration without vibration while enjoying clitoral stimulation, so this lack of control was a downside for me (but not surprising given the price).
The overall sensation is much stronger than other vibrators I’ve used. It’s clear this toy was designed for people who enjoy high-frequency, intense, and buzzy vibrations. Unfortunately, those vibrations were too much for me, as all the settings felt overly powerful, with little variation in strength. There are 10 vibration modes, including pulsing and vacillating patterns, which provide some customization, but I wish there were more options beyond just changing the patterns. If you prefer slower, rumbly sensations, this isn’t the toy for you.
On a positive note, the silicone feels soft and high-quality, and the toy is fully waterproof, which adds some versatility. The device is also easy to operate with just one button. Press and hold for three seconds to turn it on or off, and use quick presses to cycle through the 10 vibration modes.
Price
At $35 USD on the plusOne website, the Dual Vibrating Massager is very affordable – almost surprisingly so, given that it has two motors. That low price point likely explains why the vibrations are only intense and buzzy rather than offering a broader range of sensations.
One major benefit of plusOne products is their accessibility. You can find them at major retailers like CVS, Walmart and Target, so there’s no need to visit a traditional sex shop. For the price, it’s a great option for someone seeking a budget-friendly dual-motor vibrator, even if it sacrifices some refinement in its vibration settings.
Performance
The performance of the Dual Vibrating Massager was a mixed bag for me. The magnetic charging port – while not my favorite – works better here than on other plusOne toys, thanks to the placement. That said, the magnetic charger still feels finicky and can easily disconnect if bumped, which is frustrating. It’s also not compatible with any other chargers if it gets lost or breaks.
Once fully charged, the toy performs well, delivering noticeably stronger and more intense vibrations. However, the performance drops off significantly when the battery starts to get low. The motors slow down a lot. Honestly, this was the only way I could use the toy because otherwise, it would be too intense – but if you’re buying it because it’s powerful, this would be disappointing.
Packaging
Before we got together, my partner bought the Dual Vibrating Massager in 2019, so I didn’t experience the unboxing firsthand. I checked the plusOne website for reference, and the toy comes with a USB charging cable and an instruction manual. I was disappointed that it doesn’t come with a storage bag, unlike other plusOne products.
Materials and care
The plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager is made from 100% body-safe silicone and pairs well with water-based lubricants. It’s also waterproof, making it very easy to clean. The spacing between the shaft and the arm provides plenty of room to ensure thorough cleaning, but you need to be more mindful around the charging port. Its crevices can be trickier to sanitize and may be more susceptible to bacteria if not cleaned properly.
All plusOne toys come with a 2-year limited warranty.
When I bought an erotic advent calendar in 2021, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality. But on the last day, I unwrapped the Womanizer Classic – and it’s been a reliable go-to ever since. If you’re someone who enjoys external clitoral stimulation, this toy is definitely worth considering.
The SORAYA 2 is a high-quality, dual-stimulation vibrator that delivers a unique experience, especially with its various settings and ergonomic design. It’s powerful and luxurious, but it has a learning curve and can be a bit tricky to use due to its stiffness and broad tip. Overall, it’s worth the investment if the design suits your body, and I’d recommend waiting for a sale if you’re on the fence about the high price.
As someone who genuinely loves Satisfyer products and their air pulse technology, it pains me to say that I can’t recommend the One Night Stand. While it’s designed as a budget-friendly entry point ($13 USD) to entice new users, its one-time-use approach is incredibly wasteful and irresponsible. One Night Stand is made of plastic and silicone, with batteries permanently sealed inside, and the disposal instructions are vague and hidden deep in the user guide. I’d much rather see Satisfyer offer a lower-cost reusable model that prioritizes accessibility and environmental responsibility.
I usually don't pay much attention to the small products by the cash register, but in this case, I'm so glad I did. The 3-Speed PowerBullet is a solid choice for beginners or anyone looking to enhance their toy collection without spending much. It's small, versatile, and surprisingly powerful for its size, with three speeds that deliver rumbly vibrations.
While the design isn't perfect—its size can make it tricky to handle, and the vibrations linger in your fingers—it works well when paired with other toys like dildos or harnesses. The included LR44 batteries last a while, but I'd recommend the rechargeable version if you can afford the small price jump. Overall, it's a reliable, no-frills mini vibrator that gets the job done.
If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.
The Wonderlust Harmony is a flexible little number which has a smooth, soft-touch and a curved design that feels great against the skin. The idea of dual stimulation—internal and external— with this toy initially sounded great, but the clit hood on the external arm is a bit too gentle. It's almost unnoticeable vibrations across all 20 modes, which might be a little underwhelming if you're after intense clitoral stimulation. The internal arm on the other hand, does a great job of providing varied stimulation (my boat was pleasantly rocked). The power is nothing to write home about but the mix of buzzy and rumbly vibrations hit the spot. It's also waterproof and incredibly easy to clean, making it low-maintenance and travel-friendly. If you’re someone who enjoys steady pleasure, the Wonderlust is for you.
This great toy is perfect for self-care. The vibration is powerful and buzzy. The night light feature is cute and creates a sexy ambience that you'll definitely appreciate during your me-time.
Seemingly out of wand puns somehow, so disappointing! ><'
The Adam & Eve Intimate Curves Rechargeable Wand is an excellent personal massager, vibrator and clitoral stimulator. It has a 3 hour use time on low, a 1.3 hour use time on high, is submersible in water, is dual ended and has 10 settings, 3 vibrations and 7 patterns, which start out at a decent intensity. Excellent for a first time wand user, no need to be a witch or wizard to use it lol.
Ironically this Bullet is hit or miss, and it has nothing to do with aim.
CalExotics' Bullet is pretty great when it works, but getting it to work seems almost as fickle as getting the Blush Lipstick to work. The device is remote controlled, each device requiring a AAA to work, and features 12 settings (mix of vibrations and patterns). Unlike Iroha, CalExotics was not kind enough to include any batteries, so make sure you have some on hand. The Bullet can be fully inserted in either desired entry point and can be easily retrieved with the cord attached to the one end. The device is almost silent to others once inserted which could make it interesting for public use. The remote allows for easy use on your own or with a partner as it can be used up to 32.75 ft (10m) away. No IPX rating given, but it does claim to be usable in and out of water. No use time is given for this device, and given the weird events during testing I'm not even sure how to guess at a proper length so 60 minutes was my overall guesstimate.
Can be a great toy for first time users, and can be fun for public/private partner play.
Tracy's Dog Swirlii makes me want to howl with pleasure and beg for more!
I swear I'm not a bad girl, I made that mess cause I was excited!
I don't know what experienced toy lovers like and don't, but I have to say, as whatever level user I am at the moment, that this toy is spectacular! I wanted to grind against the clit stimulator like a dog humping a leg regardless of the setting it was on, and the rotations of the dildo made my eyes roll back.
The Tracy's Dog (I still can't figure out how they came up with this name for a adult toy brand, but anyway....) Hammer Wand is a powerhouse of a massager that will leave a lasting impression on any user. "I can see why people like these!" were the first words after we first used the toy.
It has a robust, premium design with neat gold accents and potent vibrations that are perfect for those who crave intense stimulation. The large head on the toy does not provide pinpoint clit stimulation, but rather deep vibrations over the whole flower which may not be what is needed for some but if you are generally sensitive to direct clit stimulation, this would be something that you would love.
This toy is NOT the most discreet or travel-friendly option (≈2x2x11.5in), its exceptional performance make it a worthwhile purchase (that surprisingly will not break the bank) for anyone seeking a reliable and effective massager.
One thing that does bother me be was the buttons, they can be hard to find in the moment
This powerful A-spot tool is perfect for reaching internally and simultaneously giving G-spot and clitoral stimulation. It's app-enabled and has 8 powerful settings to choose from. Waterproof and USB rechargeable, this body-safe toy was one I was excited to review!
