My verdict

The plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager packs a lot of power for its price. My partner originally purchased it before we got together, and while it’s not a match for my rumbly preferences, I can see why it’s a favorite. The flexible design, waterproof build, and dual motors make it versatile, but the intensely buzzy vibrations turned me off. But it’s a solid choice for anyone seeking intense sensations on a budget.

Pros

Budget-friendly
Flexible build
Waterproof and easy to clean

Cons

Vibrations are intensely buzzy
Performance drops with battery life
Magnetic charging port is finicky and unique to the brand

Design

The plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager is a bright pink color, which is the only option available. The shape and tip shape are well-designed, with a sleek and ergonomic take on the classic rabbit shape. The shaft is extremely flexible, which is a huge plus – it makes penetration easier and allows for more comfortable use in multiple positions, even with a partner. However, depending on your body shape, aligning the external arm with your clitoris can be tricky when lying down, especially if your clitoris is smaller or less protruding. Using it while standing in the shower helped me get the positioning right.

Experience

As a technologist, I was curious to see how the dual motors of the plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager would feel. The design sounded promising, but I quickly discovered that you can’t control the motors separately – it’s all vibration, all the time. I usually prefer penetration without vibration while enjoying clitoral stimulation, so this lack of control was a downside for me (but not surprising given the price). The overall sensation is much stronger than other vibrators I’ve used. It’s clear this toy was designed for people who enjoy high-frequency, intense, and buzzy vibrations. Unfortunately, those vibrations were too much for me, as all the settings felt overly powerful, with little variation in strength. There are 10 vibration modes, including pulsing and vacillating patterns, which provide some customization, but I wish there were more options beyond just changing the patterns. If you prefer slower, rumbly sensations, this isn’t the toy for you. On a positive note, the silicone feels soft and high-quality, and the toy is fully waterproof, which adds some versatility. The device is also easy to operate with just one button. Press and hold for three seconds to turn it on or off, and use quick presses to cycle through the 10 vibration modes.

Price

At $35 USD on the plusOne website, the Dual Vibrating Massager is very affordable – almost surprisingly so, given that it has two motors. That low price point likely explains why the vibrations are only intense and buzzy rather than offering a broader range of sensations. One major benefit of plusOne products is their accessibility. You can find them at major retailers like CVS, Walmart and Target, so there’s no need to visit a traditional sex shop. For the price, it’s a great option for someone seeking a budget-friendly dual-motor vibrator, even if it sacrifices some refinement in its vibration settings.

Performance

The performance of the Dual Vibrating Massager was a mixed bag for me. The magnetic charging port – while not my favorite – works better here than on other plusOne toys, thanks to the placement. That said, the magnetic charger still feels finicky and can easily disconnect if bumped, which is frustrating. It’s also not compatible with any other chargers if it gets lost or breaks. Once fully charged, the toy performs well, delivering noticeably stronger and more intense vibrations. However, the performance drops off significantly when the battery starts to get low. The motors slow down a lot. Honestly, this was the only way I could use the toy because otherwise, it would be too intense – but if you’re buying it because it’s powerful, this would be disappointing.

Packaging

Before we got together, my partner bought the Dual Vibrating Massager in 2019, so I didn’t experience the unboxing firsthand. I checked the plusOne website for reference, and the toy comes with a USB charging cable and an instruction manual. I was disappointed that it doesn’t come with a storage bag, unlike other plusOne products.

Materials and care

The plusOne Dual Vibrating Massager is made from 100% body-safe silicone and pairs well with water-based lubricants. It’s also waterproof, making it very easy to clean. The spacing between the shaft and the arm provides plenty of room to ensure thorough cleaning, but you need to be more mindful around the charging port. Its crevices can be trickier to sanitize and may be more susceptible to bacteria if not cleaned properly. All plusOne toys come with a 2-year limited warranty.

  • plusOne Air Pulsing Arouser: Affordable, But Falls Short on Air Pulse Claims

The plusOne Air Pulsing Arouser is marketed as an air pulse clitoral stimulator. But in my experience, it doesn’t live up to that claim. Unlike similar products in this category, the plusOne Air Pulsing Arouser lacks actual pulsing functionality. Instead, it’s essentially a vibrator with a clitoris-friendly shape. While there are positives – such as ergonomic design and gentle sensations – it falls short in several areas. The waterproof claim is misleading, as submerging it in water noticeably impacted its performance. Cleaning is also challenging, as fluids can easily get trapped in the rim and charging port. Typically priced around $45 USD, it’s an affordable option for those who want to venture beyond a traditional bullet vibrator. However, it doesn’t deliver the distinct sensations I’d expect from a proper air pulse device. I’d recommend investing a little more money for a higher-quality product that genuinely offers what it claims.

  • Satisfyer One Night Stand: Why I Can’t Recommend This Single-Use Toy

As someone who genuinely loves Satisfyer products and their air pulse technology, it pains me to say that I can’t recommend the One Night Stand. While it’s designed as a budget-friendly entry point ($13 USD) to entice new users, its one-time-use approach is incredibly wasteful and irresponsible. One Night Stand is made of plastic and silicone, with batteries permanently sealed inside, and the disposal instructions are vague and hidden deep in the user guide. I’d much rather see Satisfyer offer a lower-cost reusable model that prioritizes accessibility and environmental responsibility.

  • BMS Factory 3-Speed PowerBullet: My Favorite Impulse Purchase

I usually don't pay much attention to the small products by the cash register, but in this case, I'm so glad I did. The 3-Speed PowerBullet is a solid choice for beginners or anyone looking to enhance their toy collection without spending much. It's small, versatile, and surprisingly powerful for its size, with three speeds that deliver rumbly vibrations. While the design isn't perfect—its size can make it tricky to handle, and the vibrations linger in your fingers—it works well when paired with other toys like dildos or harnesses. The included LR44 batteries last a while, but I'd recommend the rechargeable version if you can afford the small price jump. Overall, it's a reliable, no-frills mini vibrator that gets the job done.

  • Womanizer Classic: It’s a Classic For a Reason

When I bought an erotic advent calendar in 2021, I wasn’t expecting much in terms of quality. But on the last day, I unwrapped the Womanizer Classic – and it’s been a reliable go-to ever since. If you’re someone who enjoys external clitoral stimulation, this toy is definitely worth considering.

You Will Not Believe the Suction on the Maia Tulip Pro

Flower suckers have been all the rage since some time in 2024, and now I know why. If I had to choose one again, I would go with the Maia Tulip Pro all over again. The suction on this sucker is frighteningly powerful. It's better than any sucking toy I've played with yet. It's an impressive toy worth every penny of its cost, but we'll get into that more lately. If you've been on the hunt for clitoral suction toys that don't beat around the bush and really suck in a good way, this is the toy for you. I was shocked at how good it works, and even though it's very powerful, it was also perfectly pleasurable.

Playboy Royal Mini Wand is a Regal Experience — Especially for Newbies

I would absolutely recommend the Royal Mini Wand to somebody who's never used a wand before or is looking for their first quality toy that won't break the bank and still comes in at under $100. It's a great first-time option if you're not ready for a larger wand but you want to experience the sensation. It's also helpful for those who don't want intense clitoral pulsing or sucking since it puts a lot of stimulation in this same area but spreads out the vibrations. If you're willing to pay for the Playboy name, it's a great first-time wand or toy, for that matter, and I'll definitely be using this one again.

Bellesa Stim: Petite, Precise & Powerful

Let’s be real—this is a budget-friendly toy. At just $20, it’s kind of a steal. And sure, you do get what you pay for, but in this case, what you get actually feels like it’s worth a lot more than the price tag. One standout feature? The travel case. As someone who’s constantly tossing things into a suitcase or a backpack, I really appreciate that I can throw this in without worrying it’ll get dusty or mysteriously fuzzy (you know the fuzz I’m talking about). That said, the toy doesn’t stay perfectly nestled in its little compartment—the main body and the ball head attachment tend to bounce around a bit. Is it annoying? A little. Is it a dealbreaker? Definitely not. Regarding vibrations, you’re getting five speeds and zero patterns—which is a win in my book. Each setting packs a punch, and as someone who’s pretty sensitive, I can say this toy really tests my limits (in a good way… mostly). It’s got more of a buzzy feel than a deep rumble, but when you switch out the attachments, it opens up some fun possibilities. Honestly? The more I use it, the more I like it. Would I recommend it as a first-ever toy? Maybe not the absolute best starter, but for the price, it’s one of the most solid intro options out there.

Natalie's Toy Box - The Little Red Bullet Vibrator: Powerful Vibe, Weird Little Design

The Little Red Bullet Vibrator from Natalie's Toy Box is a cute, discreet vibrator that can sit on your bookcase without anyone thinking it's a sex toy. Despite its discreet design, from the back, The Little Red Bullet does look quite phallic. This is a very buzzy vibrator, and it's not as quiet as I had hoped a discreet sex toy would be. It has 16 functions and is waterproof, rechargeable, and body safe. There are some nooks & crannies on the face side of the vibrator that can make it more difficult to clean, but an extra soft toothbrush will help get all the hard to reach spots.

BMS Factory PalmPower Plug & Play Wand Massager

Made by the BMS Factory, the creators of the famed "Power Bullet," the PalmPower Wand Massager came with high expectations but didn’t fully deliver. While the single-function button and silicone head are functional and feel great, the vibrations leave much to be desired. They’re strong and rumbly only at the highest setting and the rest of the modes just lack the deep resonance found in smaller bullets or larger wands, making it feel like an "inbetweener" that doesn’t quite excel in either category. The corded setup is another drawback—disruptive during solo play and downright awkward, if you’re trying to incorporate a partner. While the compact size and portability are commendable, issues like uneven vibration, the finicky detachable cap, and control quirks weigh it down. If you’re someone who loves the Magic Wand but craves a quieter, more compact version, the PalmPower might fit the bill—but expect to work around its flaws. For those seeking a seamless and deeply satisfying experience, investing in a more refined wand may be worth considering.

Tango X – The Bullet That Doesn’t Buzz, It Rumbles (Hard) 🔥

We’ve tested a ridiculous number of bullet vibes over the years – some claimed to be “powerful,” others “discreet,” some “revolutionary.” Most of them? Pretty forgettable. Buzzy surface-level ticklers that sound like a mosquito and feel like one too. So when everyone on the internet starts yelling about one bullet – the Tango X – our expectations were sky high. And for once? It actually delivered. Just... not in the way we expected. 😅 This toy doesn’t blow your clit off. It doesn’t send shockwaves through the mattress or leave your hands vibrating for an hour. It does something smarter: it vibrates with depth. That deep, punchy kind of rumble that you don’t just feel on the surface, but all the way in your thighs, your belly, your breath. And that makes a huge difference – especially over time. For Leni, the Tango X became a total surprise favorite. Not because it gave her the most explosive orgasms ever – but because it gave her sustainable, repeatable, layered orgasms. It’s one of the few toys she can use through the peak and keep going – and that turned it from a “cool bullet” to an “essential toy drawer resident.” It works solo, mid-sex, and in every position we tested where a bigger toy would’ve been a logistical nightmare. And that earns major points in our book. For Karl, it didn’t land quite the same – but that’s okay. Not every toy has to be a power player for both partners. As a couple toy, it’s a vibe-enhancer, a rhythm partner, a supporting character that doesn’t try to steal the scene. That’s actually kind of perfect. Bottom line? The Tango X doesn’t scream. It whispers – but what it’s saying is really, really good. Curious where the Tango X fits in our toy drawer – and which vibes it actually kicked out? Stick around, we’ve got more bullet-shaped chaos and discoveries coming soon. 💥
