My verdict

I’ve got really mixed feelings about the plusOne Heart Throb. On one hand, it’s fun and approachable. The heart shape makes it feel cute instead of intimidating, and the silicone is soft enough that I trust it on my skin. I like that it’s waterproof and rechargeable, so it’s not a hassle to clean or maintain. And I won’t lie: when the stars align and I get the angle right, the orgasms are no joke. Fast, powerful, sometimes overwhelming in a way that makes me laugh after because it feels ridiculous how quickly it worked. On those nights, it feels like a bargain for the price. But then there are the other nights. The nights where it feels buzzy instead of rumbly, where I can’t quite find the right spot, or where it takes me close but doesn’t quite finish the job. Those sessions are frustrating, and that’s when the toy feels more cheap than charming. It doesn’t always live up to its own hype. The unboxing was fine functional but not exciting and honestly, I wish it came with a storage pouch because silicone picks up dust like crazy. Little things like that make it feel less premium. So is it worth the fifty bucks? For me, yes and no. I wouldn’t rush out to buy it again, but I don’t regret having it either. I see it as more of a starter toy, a way to dip your toes into air-pulse vibes without dropping a couple hundred dollars. I’d recommend it to someone curious and playful, who’s okay with a bit of trial and error. But if you’re looking for a rock-solid, always-reliable, luxury-level experience, this isn’t it. It’s not my ride-or-die, it’s my wild-card. Sometimes it’s a letdown, sometimes it blows me out of the water.

Pros

Variety of Combination Settings

Cons

Awkward Shape

Design

It’s not trying to be stealthy or clinical—it’s fun, heart-shaped, and not embarrassed about what it’s doing. The silicone gives me “clean and buttery” vibes. It’s like a cheeky little piece of joy that is bold enough to unbox and say, “Yep, I’m treating myself, no regrets.” The material and color feel dependable and playful, not intimidating. It’s cute, but in a sexy confident way—not cartoonish, just confident. The size says: “I got this” — not bulky, not wallflower.

Quality

Did it feel high-quality in your hands?

When you first pick it up, it’s not heavy.. more on the lightweight side. That can swing both ways: easy to hold for longer sessions, but sometimes light reads as cheap. It’s sturdy enough to not feel like it’ll snap in half, but it doesn’t have that “luxury heft” that higher-end toys carry. The silicone shell feels smooth, soft, and skin-safe. That part does feel quality—it’s not plasticky or squeaky. But the underlying hardware? You can tell it’s mass-market, not artisan. The controls are functional, but not sleek. The button press has a little give, not that satisfying “click” you’d get on a higher-end vibe. Functional, yes. Premium? Not exactly.

Honestly, I’ve got conflicted feels. The silicone finish is nice. It’s soft, clean, and easy to trust on my skin. That part screams quality. But when it’s actually in my hand, the toy itself feels a little too awkward, lightweight, almost fragile. Not like it’s gonna break mid-session, but it doesn’t give me that grounded, sturdy reassurance I’d want from a toy that’s supposed to be this powerful. It’s like part of me’s really impressed, part of me’s side-eyeing it like, are you gonna last,

Experience

The orgasms with this thing are messy in the best and worst ways. When it’s good, it’s really good. We’re talking toe-curling, sheet-soaking, lose-track-of-time level. The kind of orgasm that makes me laugh out loud afterward because it feels unreal. But here’s the flip: it’s not reliable. Sometimes it’s fireworks, sometimes it’s fizzles, and that inconsistency can be maddening. The air pulse is both its superpower and its downfall is that it doesn’t know moderation. I either get catapulted into orgasm territory way too fast, or I’m left fiddling with angles like I’m cracking a safe. So yeah, when it lands, it delivers unforgettable orgasms. But I can’t pretend it’s my steady ride-or-die toy. It’s more like my wild-card lover hit or miss, but unforgettable when it hits.

Performance

Performance-wise, it half-exceeded and half-frustrated me. The air pulsing is no joke! It’s powerful, sometimes almost too powerful, like it skipped the foreplay memo. The vibrations? They’re fine, but not strong enough to stand alone. Together, though? That’s where it actually feels like it delivers what was promised. Noise-wise, it’s not whisper-quiet, but not screaming either. It’s discreet enough with a little background cover. So did it live up to my expectations? Kinda. It nailed the power part, but stumbled on the consistency and finesse. It’s not a flop, but it’s not the smooth, flawless performance I was hoping for either.

Materials and care

Cleaning was thankfully easy. The silicone surface rinses off smooth, and being waterproof makes it basically idiot-proof, you don’t have to baby it. The only nitpick is the air nozzle-it’s small, so you actually have to give it some attention instead of just a quick rinse. Not a dealbreaker, just a little extra work. Maintenance-wise, it’s rechargeable and doesn’t eat batteries, which is a huge plus. My only annoyance is how silicone always seems to attract lint like a lint roller in reverse, so unless you keep it tucked in a bag, it’s gonna pick up random fuzzies. Overall though? Easy to keep clean, not high-maintenance at all.

Packaging

Unboxing it felt… fine. Not luxury, not cheap.. just middle of the road. The packaging is bright and playful, but not discreet, so it’s not something I’d want sitting on my porch too long if neighbors are nosy. Inside, it’s the basics: toy, charger, instructions. No extras, no storage bag which honestly feels like a miss given how much lint this silicone picks up. The presentation didn’t wow me, but the toy itself made a better impression once I got it in-hand. So, not a premium unboxing experience, but not boring either, more like functional and a little cute, just not dressed up.

Price

Price-wise, I’d call it fair but not amazing value. At around fifty bucks, it’s not going to break the bank, and it can give you those mind-blowing, toe-curling orgasms that honestly make you forget the flaws in the moment. But… it’s not the most reliable, it feels a little cheap in hand, and it skips some extras (like a storage pouch) that I think should be standard at this price point. Would I buy it again? Probably not. I’d use the money to upgrade to something more consistent. Would I recommend it? Yeah, but with disclaimers. If someone’s curious about air-pulse toys and doesn’t want to shell out big bucks, this is a good starter. Just know you’re getting playful chaos, not polished perfection.
