Design
The Softies anal plug is a cute toy. It comes in several colors, and the one I received was peach. I love the color, especially because of the double meaning (you know, peach = butt). It's a simple design. Just your standard butt plug, really. The design is slightly elevated from your standard basic plug. It's got some shallow ridges - nothing too intense - to enhance the experience. It doesn't vibrate or have a decorative end to show outside the butt.
It's medium sized - so not "my first butt plug" but definitely not a size queen situation either. Honestly, I don't need anything fancy in a toy like this! No bells and whistles, please - just a regular old plug.

Quality
The toy is a nice soft silicone (after all, it's called "softies") and has a flexible base. It feels sturdy and has a soft silicone casing over a firmer core, which gives it a squishy feel without being jelly-like. I am a big fan of 100% silicone - honestly, I hardly use anything that isn't all-silicone - so the material gets my seal of approval. While the "neck" part is bendy, it doesn't feel weak. I wouldn't worry about it breaking with normal use. The flared base gives plenty of security that it won't get stuck!

Experience
The Softies anal plug gives a very standard anal plug experience. No surprises here. Obviously use plenty of lube and warm up the area first, especially if you aren't doing butt stuff on the regular. Don't use silicone lube because it can damage the texture of a silicone toy! I know it's tempting because a lot of people love silicone lube for anal, but don't.
After warming up properly, insertion was smooth, but the medium size definitely feels better suited to users who already have some anal toy experience.
Honestly, there isn't a ton to say! It did what a butt plug is supposed to do, which is to stay in the butt, have a flared base for safety, and feel good. The ridges are a nice touch, too.
Performance
This product met my expectations during use. It's nothing fancy - pretty average for a butt plug - but sometimes that's all you want, right? Something simple and familiar. It's easy to use, easy to remove, and easy to wash. It's a nice, reliable, and attractive toy.
Materials and care
The Softies anal plug is 100% silicone and has a simple enough design that is very easy to clean. I just used soap and warm water. It did not come with its own storage bag, which is a bummer, but since it's not a super expensive or luxury toy I'm not surprised nor is it a big deal.
There isn't really any other maintenance needed for this toy. It has no vibrator, so it doesn't need to be charged. Obviously it needs to be kept out of extreme heat, sun, etc. and stored separately from other silicone toys.

Packaging
The packaging is very cute! While it doesn't have the luxury feeling of toys like We-Vibe or Lelo, I wasn't expecting it to since it is at a lower price point. The cardboard box has a very soft and fun design, featuring pastel colors and bubbly white text. It describes exactly what it is and you can see the toy through the cardboard box's window, so you know what you're getting right away. The back of the packaging has all the specifications like material and cleaning instructions. It even has safety information, like advising you not to share it with other partners in order to prevent the spread of STIs. As a sexual health educator, I love a public health announcement.
Once you open it, the product is cased inside molded plastic and is easy to take out.

Price
This toy isn't expensive at all, although there are very similar quality toys for slightly less. It retails for about $30 and I've seen other silicone plugs of similar size go for about $20. However, they're not always as cute, so if that's important to you, the extra money might be worth it.
If you are looking for something reliable and simple, I could see this ending up in heavy rotation for a butt plug enthusiast. If you've never used an anal toy, probably try out a slightly smaller one first to see if you like it, because this isn't the smallest size out there (nor is it the largest, by a long shot).
