What did you think of the look and feel of the product?

This product is really beautiful! I love the sleek, modern design. As always, 100% silicone is my favorite, because it's so soft and waterproof. I like sex toys that come in purple because they're a little less gendered than the standard pink. The simple design had no unnecessary bells and whistles, in a good way. The buttons were unobtrusive but easy to find.

Quality

Did it feel high-quality in your hands?

Again, I am a sucker for 100% silicone. It felt soft in my hands, and sturdy. I also like the plug-in charger. The way it's designed keeps it waterproof while avoiding the contact charger, which doesn't stay in place as easily in my experience. It was easy to tell that this toy was high-quality.

Experience

How did it actually feel when you used it?

I really enjoyed this product. It had a nice, full feeling to it, and the curve hit just the right spot. Inserting it was smooth. The handle made it easy to adjust the pressure. The buttons were easily accessible, although I did find them a little harder to press than I would have liked.

When testing this toy, I combined it with a bullet vibrator. I need clitoral stimulation to cum - penetration enhances the feeling. This was no exception. I had no trouble using both hands - one for the Rave, and one for my bullet - and having both internal and external vibration really did it for me. Since the middle of the Rave is thinner than the ends, that helped my body keep it in place. It only took light pressure from my hand to keep it in position.

The vibration patterns are really nice, too. I used the quick pulses setting and it was really enjoyable.

I used the water based Pjur lube that came with it. I wasn't super impressed with the longevity of the lube, but that really doesn't matter - it was just a freebie included with the main product, which stole the show.

Did the product live up to your expectations during use?

The WeVibe Rave has a LOT of power. It has a lovely weight and size to it, and it's smooth and sleek. The soft silicone exterior feels amazing against the skin. I had no trouble keeping it on the spot I wanted, even when using my other hand with a bullet vibrator. It was a pleasant surprise that it also worked nicely as an external vibrator. I'd say that it not only met my expectations, it exceeded them.

Materials and care

Was it easy to clean and maintain?

Since it's a waterproof toy, it's really easy to clean. The only thing to watch out for is the buttons. They're textured, so take extra care on those! If you miss them, there's potential for bacteria. Like all WeVibe products, it came with its own little satin bag, which I like for storage. It keeps the toy clean (I have a cat, so preventing cat hair contamination is necessary in my house) and prevents it from touching other silicone toys, plus it's just a nice luxurious touch.

Charging is pretty easy. Since it's plug-in, you don't have to worry about carefully positioning a wireless charger. Due to the tight waterproof fitting around the charge port, it takes a little force to get the plug in there. It isn't compatible with regular USB chargers, so don't lose the cord it comes with!

Packaging

What was the unboxing experience like?

The packaging was really nice. Again, that's always my experience with WeVibe (and for the price, they better give you a nice package!) It came in a sturdy cardboard box that had a photo of the product, the name, and the brand - all you really need on the box. It felt like it would do a good job of protecting the toy. I did notice that the color on the picture was stylized to have two colors, when the toy itself is only purple.

When I opened it, the toy was in a plastic case, which offered extra protection but was really annoying to get out of the box. It was taped in with those little circular adhesive dots, and I had to get a knife to cut them. I couldn't peel them off with my fingers, and I hadn't even cut my fingernails recently, so I should have been able to get them off. After I unsealed the tape, it was really hard to get it out of the box because it was jammed in there.

Once that was over, the toy was nicely held in place, and underneath the cardboard holding it was a compartment containing instructions, the charger, a silk bag, and a small packet of lube.

Price

Was it worth the price?

At $120, this is a pretty high-priced vibrator. Of course, you are paying for quality. Toys like this typically last for quite a while, and this one is more powerful than cheaper g-spot vibrators. A reliable motor and all-silicone exterior cost more to manufacture, so it's going to cost more to purchase. If you are really into g-spot stimulation and ready to commit to something that will last you, this is a good investment.
