Womanizer Classic 2 Review: It’s a Classic For a Reason

Design

The Womanizer Classic 2 is available in black and bordeaux – or mint, white or black marble, and vivid red if you go for the Marilyn Monroe edition. Mine is navy blue because it came as part of an advent calendar. While the advent calendar version didn’t include extras, the Classic 2 comes with two silicone stimulator heads (in different sizes) to help ensure the best fit for your body. What’s unique to Womanizer is the oval-shaped stimulation head. The default size worked well for me, but I read that the taller head is better suited for clitorises that protrude more. The body of the toy is made from ABS plastic with a soft-touch surface on the side that faces your body, giving it a comfortable feel Another nice touch is that the motor is concentrated in the tip, so you don’t end up with your whole hand buzzing. The device is smaller and slimmer than some other models, making it a bit harder to grip – it didn’t rest in my palm quite as easily, so I had to hold it more firmly while using to keep it in place. The Classic is also fully waterproof and actually submergible. I used it in the bath several times, and it worked just as well underwater.

Experience

The highlight of the Womanizer Classic is the Pleasure Air technology, which stimulates the clitoris without direct contact. Instead of vibrations, it uses air pulses that feel like a mix of gentle suction and tapping. Not everyone might love it, but if it works for you, it really works. My Classic has 8 intensity levels, ranging from soft and subtle to seriously intense. I’m more sensitive, so I stayed at the lower levels – the highest border on overwhelming. The newer Classic 2 adds two more levels, but I’ve never felt like 8 wasn’t enough. Using it is straightforward, which I appreciate. There are three buttons: power, plus, and minus. Press and hold the power button to turn it on, then use the plus and minus buttons to switch between the intensity levels. There’s only one "pattern," so the focus is really on adjusting the suction speed and strength. However, the Classic is loud, especially at higher settings. It makes a softer "puttering" sound when properly in place and sealed against your body, but it's absolutely noticeable when it's just being held. This could be a dealbreaker if you're looking for something discreet.

Price

The Womanizer Classic 2 is priced at $130 USD on the Womanizer website. Considering its lack of variety, it feels a bit steep – all you can adjust is the intensity. While the product is effective, the higher price tag might be harder to justify if you want more features or customization.

Performance

The Womanizer Classic performs reliably and, for the most part, lives up to expectations. With an operating time of 180 minutes on a full charge, it offers plenty of use before needing to be plugged in again. The 120-minute charging time is reasonable, though the fact that it uses a proprietary charging cable can be frustrating. If you lose or damage the cable, you’ll have to get a replacement directly from Womanizer.

Since I didn’t get my Womanizer Classic in its original box, I had to check the Womanizer website for reference. When ordered directly, the Classic 2 comes with a USB charging cable, an extra stimulation head, a quick start guide, safety instructions, and a cotton storage pouch. It’s a practical setup with everything you need to get started.

Materials and care

The Womanizer Classic is made from body-safe silicone for the stimulation head and ABS plastic for the body. The materials are gentle on the skin and smooth to the touch. Cleaning this toy is super easy, thanks it being waterproof. You can even boil the detachable silicone head for extra hygiene.
