How do I become a reviewer?

Once you're logged in, look for the "Become a Reviewer" option in our navigational menu, you'll typically find it in the main header or sidebar, making it easy to access from any page on the site.

Click on "Become a Reviewer" and you'll be taken to our reviewer application page. This page will walk you through everything you need to know about being a ToyChats reviewer, including our community guidelines, content standards, and what we expect from quality reviews.

What to Expect on the Application Page:

• Review Guidelines: You'll see our standards for what makes a great review with tips like being honest, thorough, and respectful in your critiques

• Content Requirements: A reminder about our minimums (800 words, 5 original photos) and why we have these standards. See example here. Or a video review of at least 4 minutes of on screen time. See example here.

• Community Rules: Information about prohibited content

• The Application Form: A simple form where you'll confirm you understand and agree to follow our reviewer guidelines

Take your time reading through everything, it's important stuff that helps maintain the quality and integrity of our review community! Once you've read through the guidelines and feel good about everything, fill out the application form and hit submit. 📝

The Approval Process:

After you submit your application, our content team will review it.

Keep an eye on your inbox! You'll receive a confirmation email once you've been approved as a reviewer. This usually happens within 24-48 hours, though it can sometimes be quicker depending on how busy things are. The email will confirm your reviewer status and might include some additional tips for writing your first review.

Pro tip: 💡 Make sure to check your spam folder if you don't see the confirmation email within a couple of days, sometimes our emails end up there by mistake!
