Design
Designed with discretion in mind, the Lovehoney Rose looks like a rosebud about to open its petals. The Rose is 8cm/3" tall with a circumference of 18cm/7," including a nozzle that has a 1.5cm/0.5" opening. This small nozzle may make the Rose too small for those who have large clits or have experienced clitoral growth due to hormones/HRT.
The base features a chrome ABS plastic cover that keeps the Rose standing up. The nozzle of the rose is also removable for easier cleaning, and great if you want to experience a tapping stimulator.
It also has a two button system, though don't get too excited about it because it does not work as advertised.

Experience
I think that one of the best parts about Rose toys like this one is that they are incredibly comfortable for me to hold. As someone with grip issues & nerve damage, some toys can be really uncomfortable or even painful for me to properly hold. However, the Lovehoney Rose fits in the palm of my hand, and allows my fingers to wrap around the bud in a comfortable position that does not cause any pain flare ups. That's a big W for Rose toys!
When it comes to the air pulsations, I wasn't able to physically handle all the intensity levels. In fact, I was only able to handle the first 3 before I got so overstimulated that I had to pull the Rose away from my anatomy and take a break. It got to be too much too fast! That's the point though, which is to provide a wide range of intensities so that the Rose is loved by a wide range of users, from beginners up to experienced users.
There are also 4 air pulsation patterns, but I don't really enjoy patterns for external stimulation.
Lovehoney's Rose has a two button design, where the bottom button powers on the device and the top button cycles through the intensities. Based on Lovehoney's product description, I think the two button design was intended to allow users to cycle through the intensities easier, however I found that only the top button cycles through them. The bottom button only turns the device on or off. I was a bit disappointed when I was trying desperately to press the bottom button to take me to a lower setting, especially since it's marketed as easy to "switch between intensity levels with the two-button control" on Lovehoney's site.
I did try removing the nozzle to use the tapper that hides beneath, however, I was only able to successfully use it on my nipples due to my anatomy and the sunken design of the tapper. I understand that the Rose is not really designed for the tapper to get use, but as someone who really enjoys tapping, I had to try!

Quality
I was actually pretty surprised about the quality of the silicone, it's really soft and smooth with little drag. There are also no seam lines on the toy. The silicone feels really nice and the ABS chrome base makes this Rose vibrator look & feel a bit more high quality than some of the other Roses out there. Lovehoney did a fairly good job at making a basic sex toy look and feel high quality.

Price
Originally priced at $59.95, the Lovehoney Rose is good, but I don't know if I'd call it $60 good. If the ABS chrome on the base and two button system are what's bumping the price up so high, I just don't see it as being worthwhile when there are so many Rose toys for significantly less. Especially since only one button cycles through the intensities.
However, if you can get the Lovehoney Rose at its sale price of $39.95, that seems far more reasonable to me. That brings it down to a more competitive price, and suddenly that cute ABS base looks a little fancier for the price point!

Packaging
The Lovehoney Rose arrives in a pretty basic purple box. It's nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. Inside the box are a product manual, safety instructions booklet, magnetic USB charging cord, and the Rose itself inside a plastic bag. None of it feels luxurious nor does it feel excessive. I think the packaging is kept to a very reasonable minimum, and I appreciate that most of the packaging is recyclable.

Materials and care
Since the Lovehoney Rose is completely waterproof, cleaning the device is really easy. Pop the nozzle head off and give a thorough washing to both the nozzle and the rosebud with warm water and unscented soap. Allow to fully dry before storing, and do not allow the Rose to touch toys made with non-silicone materials. If you're unsure whether something is silicone or not, better be safe than sorry and store them separately.
It's recommended to use water-based lubricant with the Rose.
