However, the controls are a little annoying. Aside from the pearlescent coloring of the hard shell covering of the device, I'm not sure how this device got its name, which means there's no room for puns, but boy do I have a few roast style jokes lol. This product looks and feels like Apple released a new ergonomic but naughty mouse lol. Thanks Steve Jobs xD! If Star Trek had a remote control for the transport device this would be it. Beam my bean up Scotty! Smash Mouth should have said all that shimmer is gold, as this little device makes me feel like I've struck gold! The Rave Ripple is really cute, silly, and moderately effective, but it didn’t wow me. The intense texture of the outside of the toy is heavenly. Though it’s a little short and straight for my taste, despite the shaft being flexible. It only has one button, making it delightfully easy to use. And the 10 speeds are great, it’s really nice having more speed options than the traditional 5. It’s super brightly colored. The shaft is neon green, and the handle is neon pink. It fits the “rave” aesthetic, especially with the melting drip-like texture on the outside. It’s fully waterproof, so making sure the space between the ribs is free of debris and bacteria after use is easy. Plus you can have fun with it in the shower or bath. This is one of those toys I think you’d buy more for the aesthetic and kitsch than the efficacy. It would be nice to find a toy that hits both of these criteria successfully, but when it comes to a kitschy, themed toy, it’s just hard to do.

Although the price for the toy was cheap, I found the actual design and substance of the toy to be even cheaper. Although it's only $40, I found that the total lack of functionality overlooks the fact that it "has" so many functions. As a first try with a new toy? Absolutely fine. As someone with more experience and refined taste? I would avoid this toy for something more attractive.

I liked this toy, but I wouldn't say I love it. The idea of this toy is great but the actual usability is where it gets lost on me.
