Pipedream Wanachi Mini Massager Review: Vintage Vibes

Design

I think vintage might be in when it comes to sex toys. Wands seem to have made a huge comeback, overshadowing the hype of rabbit and pulsing clitoral vibrators. Wands were the OG vibrator, the ones that started out as neck massagers but were used for much, much more.

Toy design has been branching off in several directions. Some are chic, giving glittery diva and hot pastels. Some go in a natural, hippie direction with all earth tones and sustainable materials. And some reminisce on the vibrators of last year.

Which brings us to the Wanachi Mini Massager, a hard plastic wand that says “I’ll get you off, but I also look like George Jetson.” If you don’t know what George Jetson looks like, please take the time now to look him up and come back. It’s so worth it.

The Wanachi Mini Massager is economically designed, there is not frill or unnecessary thrill in this toy, it’s all business.

The neck would have benefitted from another material, one that bends more easily. Otherwise, it’s a solid little wand that works its own kind of magic.

Experience

I love a simple little toy that gets the job done, and I really took to the hard surface. Granted, it would have been nice if it was a bit smoother, something with a gentler texture but still hard. This would have made maneuvering the toy easier and improved its tactile sensation, but that’s getting nit-picky.

I tend to focus on one area at a time, so an inflexible neck won’t totally ruin my fun. I did stretch the neck out prior to playing, just by gently bending it from one side to the other. This stretched out the folds in the accordion design and gave the head a greater range of motion. If you have this toy as well, I highly recommend doing the same before you get to work.

The dial is easy to use and is conveniently placed. It just has one vibration mode and a series of intensities. It’s very straight forward toy, and overall not bad.

Quality

It’s hard for a plastic toy to not feel cheap. I try to avoid plastic in my everyday life, so I do have a slight bias. The way I view materials for sex toys is through a wellness/health lens. I aim to use intimate toys that use the best sustainable and body safe materials possible.

ABS plastic is 100% body safe, meaning that this is a safe toy to use. My personal preference, is to refrain from intimately engaging with any type of plastic.

That being said, ABS plastic is easy to clean and generally durable. Just from the feel of this toy, and the rattle sound it makes when turned on, I wouldn’t imagine the Wanachi Mini Massager having a long lasting life on the shelf.

Price

For $24.99 you cannot go wrong with this toy. I wouldn’t recommend it as the number one on your roster. Within this price range ($20-30) you can find toys that scratch your itch better. Whether you prefer rechargeable, silicone, bullet, more vibration patterns, etc. But if you’re in a pickle and need a backup toy, it’s not a bad option.

Materials and care

I was shocked to learn that this toy is waterproof! Being waterproof makes cleaning easy peasy. Just use anti-bacterial soap or toy cleaner and warm water. Let air dry before storing it away. And there’s no need to worry about silicone cleaners or storing it separately from other silicone toys.
