My verdict
Hype by ROMP is just a fun vibe. It’s your classic G-spot vibrator, slightly elevated without sacrificing pleasure for cheap frills. Its gentle curve, soft tip, and ribbed shaft hit just right, giving you intense G-spot orgasms. As someone who struggles with orgasming from penetration, I was blown away. A G-spot orgasm has never been easier than with ROMP’s Hype. It’s rechargeable and has 6 intensity levels and 4 patterns. Its soft head mimics the feeling of a real penis, increasing the quality of sensation on your G-spot. Plus, it’s fully waterproof. Considering its reasonable price of $40, that’s a steal. Even if you don’t use it in the shower, being waterproof makes the toy so much easier to clean. As I’ve gotten older, I appreciate easy to clean toys more and more. The toy comes with the cutest, sex positive stickers, which I’ll totally be showing off. Finally, it’s a perfect size for me, very comfortable to insert at 8 inches long (6.5 inches insertable) and ~2 inches wide. However, this might be a little small for other users.
Pros
Ribbed shaft
PERFECT curve
Comfortable size
Waterproof
Cons
Buttons are hard to find while using
Poor charging time to usage time ratio

Design

Hype by ROMP is designed with your body in mind. It brilliantly targets your G-spot, making orgasms easier than ever. The ribbing on the inner curve is absolutely genius. It’s my favorite part of the whole toy. The bright red and yellow make the toy playful and exciting. The colors make it feel exotic, like a weekend beach party. It has a soft head, something that is becoming more and more popular with toys. This makes the head feel more lifelike and stimulating. Combined with the ribbing and curve, the Hype is nearly perfect. If I had to nitpick the design, I’d have to point out the buttons. There are two buttons at the bottom of the toy used to turn it on and change the settings. These are placed in a vertical line with an imprint of the ROMP logo. While the toy is inside of you, you have to go by touch to find the button you’re looking for. The logo muddies the waters here, a bit.

Experience

As I mentioned, G-spot orgasms are not my specialty. I started using toys in the first place because it’s so difficult for me to reach climax, and I always stick to exterior stimulation, or dual stimulation, because that’s what works for me. However, I was floored by this toy. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck with G-spot vibrators. Or, maybe, this one is built different. I used coconut oil as my lubricant, it’s my go-to when I only need a little bit of lubricant to get the party going. It’s non-toxic, natural, safe to use on real silicone, and my body has never had a bad reaction to it. Though I use it sparingly, to avoid bacterial infection. The toy is a really comfortable size and easy to insert. It tapers gently, similarly to a real penis, and the ribbing is extremely arrousing. Plus! The toy is flexible, allowing the curve to increase or flatten out depending on the shape of your body. I experimented with the intensities and patterns, and loved almost all of them. The Hype packs a punch. Preference on pattern is purely up to the user. The toy has a very comfortable handle at the end; it’s primarily a long bullet shape, but bulges at the end to fit in your hand. The only learning curve with this toy was figuring out how to use the buttons. The power button only turns the toy on, while the button nearest the head changes intensity and pattern.

Quality

Hype by ROMP features a body-safe, skin-friendly, high-quality, and hygienic silicone coating that covers the entire toy. It’s rechargeable and features the same waterproof technology as Satisfyer, a reputable brand of vibrators. The IPX7 waterproof rating allows the toy to be submerged, making it easy to play and clean. However, its 60 minute/1 hour run time is significantly less than the 180 minute/3 hour charging time. I’m not sure if this is a comment on the quality, but it is inconvenient.

Price

For only $39.99 through the ROMP website, this G-spot vibrator is a STEAL. It’s true bang for your buck. If G-spot stimulation is your thing, I cannot recommend this enough.

Performance

It performed like a champ. No notes for this toy.

Packaging

The packaging is really funny. It’s branded like with a “hell yeah, I masturbate!” kind of vibe. It’s brash and bold, but still a sleek design. There is a photo of the toy in all its glory on the front of the box, so it's not the most discreet. It comes with a charger, start guide, safety instructions, and a small sheet of adorable sex-positive stickers.

Materials and care

Care for the toy is simple. Wash thoroughly after each use, let dry, and store in a safe, cool place.

  • Plus One Dual Vibrating Arc: Full of Surprises

The Dual Vibrating Arc from Plus One features a simple, sleek design that packs a punch. For once, a ‘personal massager’ that is actually lovely to use on your back and between your legs. The curved design and soft silicone fit comfortably in my hand while providing targeted internal stimulation. With two size options and multiple speeds, the Dual Vibrating Arc is perfect for finding the g-spot and p-spot, making it a gender-inclusive toy. Strong vibrations and ergonomic hold make this an excellent option for clitorial or external play, as well. The toy’s length made playing on my back and stomach easy. However, the toy did let me down a little. The shape of the arch doesn’t allow for simultaneous dual stimulation. While only one side vibrates at a time - already a little disappointing - the vibrations are so strong they made my hand tingle - not a bad thing, but not the most comfortable for longer play.

  • Confusing Magic: the Ava VIVV Massage Wand

The VIVV Massage Wand by Ava is an adorable, humbly sized vibrating wand with a flexible neck for precision pressure and pleasure. The high-quality, soft, silicone ribbed head adds an unexpected dimension to vibrations. However, the diagonal ribbing on the handle makes finding the buttons difficult and can turn an attempt to adjust intensity or vibration pattern into a lost orgasm. Slightly making up for the confusing texture, the Ava VIVV features 20 vibration patterns and 8 intensities. I say ‘slightly’ because at least 10 of the 20 vibration patterns are redundant. Their slight differences offer the nuance needed for precise pleasure, and taking a few extra minutes to cycle through and find the right one isn’t the worst way to spend your time. The only other hitch in this device is that it resumes whatever intensity and pattern you used before when you turn it on. Sometimes, this is great. Other times, it’s nice to reset and start out easy.

  • Plus One Vibrating Bullet: Average Travel Size Vibes

The Plus One Vibrating Bullet is a simple, easy to use, travel-size vibe. The no-frills, straightforward design gets the job done. This isn’t the first toy I’d pull out of my drawer, but it’s the backup I like knowing is there. Its size makes it great for partnered play, as it doesn’t get in the way and can easily be moved around. With only one button, getting confused or struggling to change settings is nearly impossible. The 10 vibration settings offer a range of intensities and patterns that are standard for most vibrators. Included in the box is a finger sleeve, which majorly elevates the experience and pleasure of the bullet. Soft, high-quality silicone makes this toy fully waterproof, allowing for shower play. Overall, this is a very average toy. It satisfies but doesn’t over-deliver.

  • Smooth and Beginner Friendly: Plus One’s Vibrating Wand

The Plus One Vibrating Wand is smooth in every sense of the word. Suave, moderately powerful vibrations radiate from its broad, soft head with a flexible neck, giving you total control of where the vibes go and how much pressure they apply. Overall, I was satisfied with this toy - it doesn’t have the strength of other wands, but the cadence of the vibrations rolls instead of pounds, making this wand more sensual than most vibrators. It has 10 settings varying in intensity and pattern, is cordless, and fully waterproof. The silicone surrounding the toy is soft and feels nice in your hand as you maneuver the wand. It's a great first wand or vibrator, but I wouldn’t recommend it to experienced players looking for a new toy. For my taste, it was a little too simple. However, there really isn’t anything to complain about.

The Je Joue Mimi Soft: Pretty in Pink, But Not So Perfect in Play

The Je Joue Mimi Soft Fuchsia Vibrator is undeniably a stylish and sophisticated toy, but when it comes to practicality and comfort, it leaves a bit—or rather a lot—to be desired. While the soft silicone and variety of vibration patterns are nice features, the awkward shape and limited maneuverability make it hard to fully enjoy. I found myself flipping it over more than once and trying more than a few angles, trying to get a good dose of the broad external stimulation it promises. All in all, it’s a toy that looks better on your nightstand than it feels in your hand during use. Switching through modes is another uphill battle, with small, dainty buttons on the circumference of the toy, which makes it almost impossible to switch through while you’re holding it in play. On the plus side, it’s rechargeable with a magnetic charger and has a fairly long playtime (I guess you’re going to need the extra juice considering finding the right play angle is near impossible on most days). On paper, it ticks a lot of boxes, but in practice, it’s not as user-friendly as it sounds.

    Pleasure Engine: Dragon’s Eye

It’s (as of my knowledge) the only one of its kind on the market. The plasma ball is a lot of fun to mess with, and for the price of a Plasma Ball Light you could get from the mall, you can have one that brings you a whole other kind of pleasure. It’s definitely something I’m keeping in my toy rotation.

Power, Precision, and Pleasure with We-Vibe's Tango X

The We-Vibe Tango X Bullet Vibrator is a compact dynamo of sensation, offering powerful, deep rumbles that are surprisingly intense for such a small device. With its lipstick like design and high-quality feel, it’s built for precision, making it perfect for pinpoint stimulation on all your favorite erogenous zones—from the clitoris, perineum, or even the anus, it’s versatile enough to work anywhere on the body. The Tango X comes with 8 powerful vibration modes and the ability to easily cycle through them using the simple one-button control, whether you’re ramping up for a higher intensity or switching things up mid-session, its just so easy and not at all prone to mishaps like switching it off mid session. It also has a magnetic USB charging system which I was so wow'd by, its not only cool but also incredibly easy—just click the Tango X into place, and you’re good to go. With extended playtime on a full charge, and the short recharge time you’ll never be without this baby for too long (which I enjoyed). This toy fast became my favorite for months on end whether I was on a solo mission or with partnering up. The Tango's small, discreet size and formidable power deliver big-time pleasure that rivals full-sized vibrators for sure. With its whisper-quiet performance and intense, customizable sensations, this little vibrator proves that great things really do come in small packages.

    Playing The "O" Game

The PlusOne Vibrating Bullet is marketed as a travel-ready, rechargeable vibrator—and I can confirm, it lives up to that. At under 3 inches long, this toy delivers a vibration quality that’s sure to raise more than just an eyebrow. While the vibrations are more on the buzzy side than the deep, rumbly end, they’re intense enough to create a mini tsunami in a glass of water (you get the idea). With 10 modes to choose from, the variety keeps things interesting, and you’ll definitely find a setting that works for you. Although it’s designed for clitoral stimulation, I found it works well on other sensitive spots too (just, you know, don’t insert). Like other PlusOne toys, this bullet is waterproof and made of body-safe silicone, which makes it easy to clean and maintain. I’ve tried a few of their budget-friendly toys, like the Travel Bullet, and while the silicone on those felt a bit plastic-y, this one’s a major upgrade. It’s soft, smooth, and feels way better on the skin. It has a one-button operation that’s easy to use, though it can be a little frustrating when you’re cycling through settings quickly.

    We-Vibe Jive Review: Just… Meh

The We-Vibe Jibe isn’t a bad toy by any means, but it works best as an accompaniment rather than the main course. At an RRP of $130, it’s also quite a pricey option, even if it does offer rumblier vibes than the competition. If you don’t know how you feel about internal vibrations, that’s a lot to spend on a punt to find out.

Satisfyer Double Fun – Double the Fun or Double the Frustration? 🤔

The Couple’s Vibrator That Sounded Exciting—But Left Us Frustrated When it comes to couple’s vibrators, I always think of the We-Vibe. We never actually owned one, but reading about it made us curious about this kind of toy. The idea of something that could bring extra stimulation for both partners during penetration sounded awesome. So, when we saw the Satisfyer Double Fun as a free promo gift, we figured, ‘Why not?’ Free sex toys are the best kind of sex toys, right? Worst case, we’d have some fun experimenting. Spoiler alert: We did not have fun. 🫠 On paper, it checks all the boxes—flexible U-shape, strong vibrations, app control, waterproof. But in reality? It felt more like a third wheel than a sexy enhancement. We gave it multiple tries, hoping it would grow on us. At the end, we just never clicked with it. After about 10 tries, it found its final resting place in our bedside drawer, untouched and collecting dust. So, what went wrong? Let’s get into it. 😉

Bellesa Stim: Petite, Precise & Powerful

Let’s be real—this is a budget-friendly toy. At just $20, it’s kind of a steal. And sure, you do get what you pay for, but in this case, what you get actually feels like it’s worth a lot more than the price tag. One standout feature? The travel case. As someone who’s constantly tossing things into a suitcase or a backpack, I really appreciate that I can throw this in without worrying it’ll get dusty or mysteriously fuzzy (you know the fuzz I’m talking about). That said, the toy doesn’t stay perfectly nestled in its little compartment—the main body and the ball head attachment tend to bounce around a bit. Is it annoying? A little. Is it a dealbreaker? Definitely not. Regarding vibrations, you’re getting five speeds and zero patterns—which is a win in my book. Each setting packs a punch, and as someone who’s pretty sensitive, I can say this toy really tests my limits (in a good way… mostly). It’s got more of a buzzy feel than a deep rumble, but when you switch out the attachments, it opens up some fun possibilities. Honestly? The more I use it, the more I like it. Would I recommend it as a first-ever toy? Maybe not the absolute best starter, but for the price, it’s one of the most solid intro options out there.
