From a durability standpoint, the toy feels solid and well-made, living up to the reputation of Je Joue as a luxury brand.

Experience

Using the Mimi Soft was a mixed bag. At first glance, it’s a beautifully crafted toy that feels luxurious in your hand, but the issues start once you actually put it to use. The broad, pebble-like shape sounds great in theory, but in practice, it’s awkward to hold, especially if you’re trying to maintain a steady angle. Because of its flat design, you end up needing a lot of surface contact to get a good grip, which makes it tricky to maneuver without your hand cramping up. When it comes to stimulation, the rumbly vibrations feel lovely at lower intensities, offering a slow, teasing build-up. However, it’s a struggle to find the perfect angle for more focused pleasure on higher levels. With 5 speeds and 7 patterns, I expected to be more than satisfied but this is drowned out by the issues I had holding it in place (maybe bigger hands would have an easier time with it). I found myself constantly readjusting, which pulled me out of the moment. The buttons didn’t help either—they’re small, hard to locate, and nearly impossible to press without fumbling. While it’s quiet and discreet, making it great for shared spaces or travel, the overall experience felt more frustrating than satisfying. For partner play, it’s okay for broad teasing, but the lack of precision limits play here too and prevents you from reaching maximum potential with this toy.

The buttons, though small and discreet, are difficult to navigate mid-play, further dampening the overall experience, so really it didn't meet my expectations.

A quick rinse with warm water and mild soap or a spritz of toy cleaner does the trick. Since the toy isn’t fully waterproof (just splashproof), submerging it is a no-go, which might limit your options for adventurous play or more thorough cleaning.

The Mimi Soft arrives in sleek, minimalistic packaging that screams sophistication. It’s the kind of box you’d proudly display if it weren’t, well, holding a vibrator. However, the presentation might feel a bit overhyped compared to the actual usability of the product. Inside, the vibrator rests in a molded compartment alongside the magnetic charger and an instruction booklet. While elegant, the lack of a proper storage pouch or case feels like a missed opportunity, especially given its premium price point.

At its premium price point (around $100), the Mimi Soft sets certain expectations, and while it excels in design and materials, its performance is a let down, making me second guess the spend. You’re paying for a chic, aesthetically pleasing toy, but the actual usability doesn’t entirely justify the cost. In all honesty, for the same investment, there are other toys on the market that offer more power, versatility, and ease of use.
