Rantings of a Mad Woman!

Wasn't sure what to expect when I saw this one in my box of goodies... is it going to be something to rave about, is it going to be a bust, or is it going to be average? I did totally expect it to be the color on the front of the box.... I was a bit let down but okay with the fact that it was just purple and chalked the initial desire up to a derpy one lol ><".

Somewhere I came across something that I thought said the design of the toy was supposed to allow the user to apply a twist style motion to it that was meant to provided more pleasure while in use, which in combination with the stiff bent shape I thought was kind of neat but wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy. The overall box aesthetic and the interesting design of the toy itself definitely gave intriguing and inviting vibes that made me feel rather delighted that it showed up in the mail rather than disenchanted, fearful or annoyed lol. Though it's bent like a banana, I'm glad it's not another lol! ><"

Mini Summary!

We-Vibe's Rave is a designed with pleasure in mind, from its unique bent shape to its many settings. With a rousing 100 potential manual settings (1 single vibe, 9 patterns and 10 intensity levels), there's sure to be something that will drive you stark raving wild! Accessing this plethora of party starters is easy: simply press the "O" button to power the device on and continue pressing to cycle through the 10 available preset patterns; to increase/decrease the intensity press the appropriate +/- arrow; to power the device off hold the "O" for 2sec, release and wait for the purple to quit blinking; and to pair the device hold the "O" until the vibrates twice in a row. Don't fret if the toy is bumped off or feel overwhelmed by the available settings! Thanks to the memory chip, the last pattern and intensity used will be the first ones available the next time the device is turned on. There's no telling how long the party is allowed to go on for, but there is a 90min recharge required before starting again and a 3.5mm style jack can be used to help get those juices flowing again. Unfortunately, this isn't one of those wet and wild rave style party favors, given that it has no official IPX rating and has only ben labeled as "splash-proof" there's only so many places it can be taken without worry.

Packaging!

I love this box! The gradient colors and the opening style of the box itself are definitely among my favorites! It shares just enough information to let you know what's up, but doesn't scream sex toy in a lot of the usual senses. In fact, it's almost one of those ones you might be able to lie about in some sense, like it's a funky shaped Bluetooth speaker.

I'm slightly disappointed in the fact that the gradient coloring in the picture of the toy on the front isn't actually the color of the toy itself, would've been kind of cool to see one that was. I love the sturdiness of the box as it not only allows it to be a potential storage option but it keeps it from getting damaged as easily as flimsy thin cardboard boxes. It's also makes for a nice presentation style and psychologically makes the product feel a bit more worth the price being asked for. If I'm going to spend $100+ on a toy, I'd like it not to show up in a flimsy tattered box.

What's In The Box?!

Inside the package: the product itself, a storage/travel pouch, a 3.5mm style charger, a manual and a complimentary sample pack of lube.

I know it's not depicted here, but I have the say the way this toy was packaged up has to be one of the more unique styles I've seen and it simultaneously felt wasteful and understandable lol. When the box is opened you're greeted by a plastic covering that's taped down on both sides to act as a tamper seal more than a keep in place style one, and it has a thumb/finger hole at the base to help ease it out once the seal is broken. The toy itself is tucked into a foam cutout that's glued to a cardboard sleeve that houses the accessories, all of which are encased by the aforementioned plastic covering. I feel a lot of this could have been cutdown on a smidge... Remove the cardboard sleeve; remap the foam layout to house the toy and charger, but leave some room for the lube to sit atop it without being smooshed; have the manual and pouch just lay under the foam; and cut back on the plastic piece by making all of the tabs much shorter. Basically it could've been done like Lovense's Nora.

Outside of that.... I LOVE the included pouch and how luxurious it feels, it adds to that feeling of bang for buck lol and it provides another means of storage outside of the original packaging or sourcing something else. I also like the added touch of including a sample pack of lube, again adding to the bang for buck mentality while showcasing another available product and also allowing the user to have the option of using the product almost immediately.

Back That App Up!

The app is suuuuuuper straightforward and asks for no personal information to set it up... and based on that alone it is now my favorite lol.

Simply download the app, open it, cycle through a few intro ad tidbits, connect your toy and explore!

How Did It Do?!

Information and Operation: Press the "O" to turn the device ON and continue pressing the "O" to cycle through the 10 available preset patterns. To increase the intensity press the "+" button, and to decrease the intensity press the "-" button. The device can also be controlled by the We-Vibe app.

The single vibration is usually my favorite place to be as I like a consistent feeling that can be adjusted by the motion I choose to apply. I'm not really a fan of patterns as most are like morse code in nature and have abrupt stops in them that just take me out of the moment. If a pattern is going to be enjoyable it has to be somewhat continuous in nature and each change has to blend well for it to work.

The intensities were nice but they weren't over the top; I found myself more enjoying the higher intensities and ignoring the low ones which were better for external slow burns rather than internal anything. The aforementioned twisting motion in the ranting section did and didn't add to the pleasure, I feel the pointed side edges kind of took away from the pleasure and it was better with the regular ol' in and out lol.

The overall sound makes it seem like it would be a rumbly vibration, but it's more buzzy, which I still find/found enjoyment in so I don't really care but I know others have preferences. Most of my intimate sessions are alone in a quiet room with no music or anything unless I'm in a specific mood, so I find that the sounds the toy make can also effect the situation at hand as well and the pattern sounds are definitely a buzz kill for me outside of their feel lol...

The single vibe sounds like a truck idling down the street and the patterns are as follows:

1. Sounds like a dirt bike idling

2. Sounds like a weed wacker snoring

3. Sounds like a cheerleading beat is about to break out

4. Sounds like a heavy metal band beat

5. Sounds like it's revving up and taking off

6. Sounds like a weed wacker has a knocking issue in its motor lol

9. Is a heartbeat
