Zee by Dame Review: A Big Girl Vibrator

Design

Dame designed the Zee for adult women. Neon pink and “discreet” lipstick bullet vibrators are cool, but sexual empowerment comes from having your pleasure taken seriously as an important part of your health. The Zee is a soft, grey blue with the device specs printed in dark blue on the side. It sort of looks like a tiny missile or something prescriptive. It has one button on the bottom that controls power and speed. Next to the button is a flap that covers the charging port, making it easy to find and keeping the device waterproof. The head is pointed, something I rarely see with bullet vibrators. I appreciate how Dame shook the design up here, it allows you to apply pressure with different textures. Overall, Zee has a simple, mature design reflecting its simple nature.

Experience

Personally, the Zee just isn’t strong enough for me. It’s just one notch too soft. I do really appreciate how quiet it is, though. I also like that the vibrations don’t rattle my hand too much while using the toy. And that it’s easy to navigate. The pointed head helped seal the deal, especially when the power it packs just wasn’t doing it for me. If you’re looking for a gentle to moderately powerful toy, this is the vibrator for you.

Quality

It’s such a well-constructed toy. Since using this toy and getting familiar with the company, I’ll definitely be buying other toys from them. The toy uses soft, body safe silicone, and is well crafted, sleek, and aesthetically pleasing. It’s waterproof, feels durable, and comes with a 3 year warranty.

Price

For $25, this is a solid purchase. Definitely review the website or package, whether buying online or in person, to learn more about its performance and if this toy is right for you. This isn’t my favorite bullet vibrator as I’ve found much stronger ones for around the same price. It just depends on what you’re looking for, though you won’t miss out on quality with this toy. $25 is the standard for a great bullet vibrator.

Performance

My biggest deterrent from this toy is the power. However, I can’t complain about it. Dame does such a good job of accurately representing their toys that you’re never buying blind. They didn’t over or undersell the performance of this toy. They rated it just below average in power, and that's exactly what it provided. I’ve never experienced a company that accurately advertises its products, and I’m just so charmed by it. If more toys did this, we could buy sex toys with confidence, instead of dropping a coin just to open the box and be disappointed.

Packaging

I’ve already talked so much about the transparency of the packaging. The information provided is fantastic. There is a large photo of the toy on the front of the box. It’s not the most discreet, however, they do ship discreetly. It was tricky at first for me to find the toy when I opened the box. I thought for a moment that they sent an empty box. You just have to pull everything out to find the toy. There’s a cardboard mount that takes up most of the box, obscuring the toy.

Materials and care

The toy comes with a nice USB-C charging cable. Being able to charge the toy with such a versatile and widely used cable is handy for those days when you can’t find the original cord. The toy is waterproof, so cleaning is very simple. Just be sure to close and secure the flap over the charging port before submerging or cleaning the toy.
