My verdict
The Swan Sceptre feels royal. It’s massive—the head is the size of my palm. And the vibrations are out of this world. They call their most intense setting “Earthquake Mode,” you could definitely measure it on the Richter Scale. Most toys that offer dual stimulation, clitoral and penetration, lack in at least one department. But not the Sceptre. The insertable length is actually long enough to insert. I am so happy with this wand. As with all near perfect toys, there are downsides. The insertable end doesn’t vibrate, it seems like a missed opportunity to me. And the buttons are horribly laid out. I’ve checked the website and user manual to confirm, but the top button has a “power” symbol on it, though it controls the speed. The bottom button button is the on/off switch and doesn’t affect speed at all. It’s just odd and it feels like the construction might have been off. Also, the lowest vibration setting is still quite intense—that’s not a complaint, just a warning to some users.
Pros
Flexible head coated in smooth silicone for ideal pressure
Intense vibrations
Easy to change intensity
Short charging time with a long battery life
Cons
It might be too big
Insertable end does not vibrate
Design

The Swan Sceptre feels good to hold. The handle has a comfortable curve, accommodating your hand. The large head fits easily in your palm when using the penetrative side. Smooth, body safe silicone coats the product and feels nice on your skin. Designed with pleasure in mind, every part of the toy is thought out and maximized—physically and conceptually. The virtually seamless toy is elegant, simple, and incredibly powerful. The Sceptre is 9.2” tall, with an insertable length of 4.5” and a width of 1.25”, and the head is 2.4” wide.

Experience

As soon as I turned it on, I was shocked. Saying this toy packs a punch is an understatement. Its lowest setting is strong. I really enjoy intense, consuming vibrations and loved this quality of the Sceptre. I found myself spending most of the time in the mid-range of intensity, moving up and down for variation. The flexible neck and large head let you cover a lot of area at once while staying targeted. Thank goodness the handle was designed to be held comfortably, because once I found the right spot, I didn’t want to stop. “Earthquake Mode” felt like I was going to vibrate off the bed. I felt like this toy deserved a warning label, “CAUTION: INTENSE PLEASURE WILL ROCK YOUR EXISTENCE.” Needless to say, I really enjoyed the Swan Sceptre. I tried the penetrative side but wasn’t impressed. What’s nice is that you can insert it 4.5”, but it doesn’t vibrate, and you have to choose between clitoral stimulation and insertion, so I stuck with the vibrating head.

Quality

The Swan Sceptre is made from high quality materials. It feels durable, reliable, and luxurious. My only qualm is the issue with the buttons. It leaves me wondering if my toy was a factor defect or if there was a miscommunication with the design. Either way, the buttons are improperly labeled on the toy. They’re confusing and make me question the overall quality of the toy.

Performance

Zero complaints about the Swan Sceptre’s performance. I think it would be too intense for some users, given that the lowest setting is already quite high.

Packaging

Beautiful, modern packaging with interesting drawings on the front adorning a photo of the toy. The Sceptre comes with a charger, user manual, and storage bag.

Materials and care

A single, seamless piece of high-quality, body safe silicone coats the Swan Sceptre, making it waterproof and simple to clean. Warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner will do the job. If using lubricant to insert the toy, stick to water-based lube to avoid damaging the silicone.

I love that you can insert as well as have the wand play. Nice!

  • Plus One Dual Vibrating Arc: Full of Surprises

The Dual Vibrating Arc from Plus One features a simple, sleek design that packs a punch. For once, a ‘personal massager’ that is actually lovely to use on your back and between your legs. The curved design and soft silicone fit comfortably in my hand while providing targeted internal stimulation. With two size options and multiple speeds, the Dual Vibrating Arc is perfect for finding the g-spot and p-spot, making it a gender-inclusive toy. Strong vibrations and ergonomic hold make this an excellent option for clitorial or external play, as well. The toy’s length made playing on my back and stomach easy. However, the toy did let me down a little. The shape of the arch doesn’t allow for simultaneous dual stimulation. While only one side vibrates at a time - already a little disappointing - the vibrations are so strong they made my hand tingle - not a bad thing, but not the most comfortable for longer play.

  • Confusing Magic: the Ava VIVV Massage Wand

The VIVV Massage Wand by Ava is an adorable, humbly sized vibrating wand with a flexible neck for precision pressure and pleasure. The high-quality, soft, silicone ribbed head adds an unexpected dimension to vibrations. However, the diagonal ribbing on the handle makes finding the buttons difficult and can turn an attempt to adjust intensity or vibration pattern into a lost orgasm. Slightly making up for the confusing texture, the Ava VIVV features 20 vibration patterns and 8 intensities. I say ‘slightly’ because at least 10 of the 20 vibration patterns are redundant. Their slight differences offer the nuance needed for precise pleasure, and taking a few extra minutes to cycle through and find the right one isn’t the worst way to spend your time. The only other hitch in this device is that it resumes whatever intensity and pattern you used before when you turn it on. Sometimes, this is great. Other times, it’s nice to reset and start out easy.

  • Plus One Vibrating Bullet: Average Travel Size Vibes

The Plus One Vibrating Bullet is a simple, easy to use, travel-size vibe. The no-frills, straightforward design gets the job done. This isn’t the first toy I’d pull out of my drawer, but it’s the backup I like knowing is there. Its size makes it great for partnered play, as it doesn’t get in the way and can easily be moved around. With only one button, getting confused or struggling to change settings is nearly impossible. The 10 vibration settings offer a range of intensities and patterns that are standard for most vibrators. Included in the box is a finger sleeve, which majorly elevates the experience and pleasure of the bullet. Soft, high-quality silicone makes this toy fully waterproof, allowing for shower play. Overall, this is a very average toy. It satisfies but doesn’t over-deliver.

  • Smooth and Beginner Friendly: Plus One’s Vibrating Wand

The Plus One Vibrating Wand is smooth in every sense of the word. Suave, moderately powerful vibrations radiate from its broad, soft head with a flexible neck, giving you total control of where the vibes go and how much pressure they apply. Overall, I was satisfied with this toy - it doesn’t have the strength of other wands, but the cadence of the vibrations rolls instead of pounds, making this wand more sensual than most vibrators. It has 10 settings varying in intensity and pattern, is cordless, and fully waterproof. The silicone surrounding the toy is soft and feels nice in your hand as you maneuver the wand. It's a great first wand or vibrator, but I wouldn’t recommend it to experienced players looking for a new toy. For my taste, it was a little too simple. However, there really isn’t anything to complain about.

Satisfyer Wand-er Woman – The Wand That Gave Us Trust Issues 😅

Big Toy, Big Promises, Big Letdowns? When we first got our hands on the Satisfyer Wand-er Woman, we were curious. A powerful, extra-large wand massager that promises deep, rumbly vibrations, full-body relaxation, and earth-shattering orgasms? Sounds like a dream. Plus, it’s waterproof, has 50 vibration combinations, and comes with a 10-year warranty - what could go wrong? Well… quite a bit. At first glance, it looks sleek, luxurious, and ready to bring some serious intensity. But after multiple rounds of testing (and even a few replacements), we quickly realized that this wand comes with some serious drawbacks. Whether it's the awkward size, unreliable motor, or frustrating battery life, this toy had us feeling more annoyed than satisfied. But hey, let’s dive into the details. 😉

Playboy - In a Twist: Glass Vibrators for the Win

Okay, this toy is something else, in the best way because it's glass and it vibrates. Yes, you read that right, I was genuinely surprised (and a little fascinated) when I first got my hands on it. The sensations it delivers are definitely different from your average silicone vibe. For one, the vibrations lean toward the buzzy side, and the entire 6.5-inch shaft has these shallow indentations that look cool but don’t really add much in terms of texture during use. Once you lube it up, and you absolutely should, it becomes super slick. Like, really slick. (Maybe don’t use this one for butt stuff. It’s a little too easy for it to slip, and no one wants an awkward ER visit on their sex résumé.) That said, the glass material makes it perfect for temperature play. You can run it under warm or cool water before use for a little extra sensory fun, just steer clear of anything too hot, because ouch.

Ava VIVVO Massage Wand: Impatient Need Not Apply

If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.

Adam & Eve Intimate Curves Wand Review: Not an Ollivanders' Wand but Still Pretty Magical

Seemingly out of wand puns somehow, so disappointing! ><' The Adam & Eve Intimate Curves Rechargeable Wand is an excellent personal massager, vibrator and clitoral stimulator. It has a 3 hour use time on low, a 1.3 hour use time on high, is submersible in water, is dual ended and has 10 settings, 3 vibrations and 7 patterns, which start out at a decent intensity. Excellent for a first time wand user, no need to be a witch or wizard to use it lol.

With 10 whisk patterns and 10 bean fliq-ing sensations you're sure to feel like the cream of the crop! ;P If a spa were to provide complimentary stress relievers, I feel this would be in that collection hands down. Of the three Ava products I've received, I'd have say that this one has to be my favorite clitoral stimulator! If you want an action that closely feels like genuine oral sex, this is a good choice! I've gone back to this toy several times in the week or so I've had it because I can't seem to get enough of that little fliq-er xD.

Bellesa Stim: Petite, Precise & Powerful

Let’s be real—this is a budget-friendly toy. At just $20, it’s kind of a steal. And sure, you do get what you pay for, but in this case, what you get actually feels like it’s worth a lot more than the price tag. One standout feature? The travel case. As someone who’s constantly tossing things into a suitcase or a backpack, I really appreciate that I can throw this in without worrying it’ll get dusty or mysteriously fuzzy (you know the fuzz I’m talking about). That said, the toy doesn’t stay perfectly nestled in its little compartment—the main body and the ball head attachment tend to bounce around a bit. Is it annoying? A little. Is it a dealbreaker? Definitely not. Regarding vibrations, you’re getting five speeds and zero patterns—which is a win in my book. Each setting packs a punch, and as someone who’s pretty sensitive, I can say this toy really tests my limits (in a good way… mostly). It’s got more of a buzzy feel than a deep rumble, but when you switch out the attachments, it opens up some fun possibilities. Honestly? The more I use it, the more I like it. Would I recommend it as a first-ever toy? Maybe not the absolute best starter, but for the price, it’s one of the most solid intro options out there.
