I don’t usually get aroused immediately by a toy, but the Oliver James Large Wand Massager got me going right away. The large wand is large, nearly a foot long, making it oddly so comfortable to use. At first, I thought it looked a little gimmicky. It’s long, the handle is coated in shiny plastic, and it’s just so big it’s almost cartoonish. However, the neck is flexible, the silicone on the head is divine, and the vibrations are so strong I could feel them through my pants. The longer, curved handle on this model allows you to hold with your palm facing any direction, making the device super easy on your wrist - which is usually the first point of discomfort for me. I also found it super easy to use, from the buttons to the toy's ability to massage such a large area. If I wanted to speak Morse Code, I’d buy a Ham radio, not a vibrator. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautifully designed, high-quality vibrating wand. However, I have a very specific personal issue with this toy. The wand has 20 patterns, and while I appreciate that each pattern is nuanced and probably appeals to users who have been looking for that specific “dot dot dash” vibration, I could have done without 18 of them. For me, the first and eighteenth vibration patterns are the ones I want. And I’d love to be able to start with one, go to the other, and go back and forth until I’m tired. But I can’t do that with the Ava VIVVO Wand because I have to cycle through all the patterns to find the right one. And because they’re all so similar, I easily miss the one I’m looking for and have to cycle through all 20 again. This probably sounds so petty, but when you need that little shift in vibration, you don’t want to click through 17 that are just “meh.” I think this part of the design is bothersome enough to ruin the toy entirely.

The Doxy Original Massager is a great time for anyone looking to expand into the vibrating toy realm. The three button control system was intuitive, and it was easy to go back and forth between vibration intensities. This toy was very rumbly as opposed to buzzy, and the higher settings proved to be very intense. This wand was on the heavier side, and it was a little difficult to hold in place for long periods of time. Since the user has full control in terms of intensity, it was very easy to edge with this device. It took me like 30 minutes to reach an orgasm which is great because I tend to relish in my intimate experiences.

After discovering the concept of a frenulum massage, I decided to trek to my local sex shop to search for something suitable. Thankfully, I came across the Manta from Fun Factory, while this may not be for everyone it has provided me with the most intense orgasms so far. The product is weighty, ergonomic and feels like a premium device. The silicone is soft and feels great around the shaft with a little bit of lube. Charging is easy with the included usb magnetic component, and the whole unit is waterproof so it can be used in the shower and easily washed. While great for me it did take a while to learn the best position and location to use the toy, and through trial and error by concentrating on the end of the penis at a 90 degree angle with increasing vibrations I was able to achieve a building orgasm. This toy is not however for a quick pump and dump. Put on a movie, concentrate on the vibrations and gently move the unit around to let the tension build. I found this toy takes time to work, but I guarantee it will be worth it. Clean up as mentioned above is easy, needing only a simple wash up with some toy cleaner and warm water. There really aren't any nooks or crannies that can hold anything that requires extra attention. However, it does seem to attract lint, and I found it impossible to keep dust free. The only downside I found was that the material on the inside of the flaps did degrade a little and developed a sort of pilling. I'm unsure if this was cause by the vibrations when the unit was used without much lube, or the type of lube used. In all honestly it may also have been a result of just general wear and tear. It doesn't affect the operation so I haven't contacted Fun Factory for comment. Otherwise, it's a fun and premium toy for your junk. Use it solo or as a couple, but be mindful this unit does take time to stimulate an orgasm, and you need to be prepared to work with it to figure out the best spot for you.
